Audio problem: The episode opens with a news report, which itself opens with the words; "In Belfast, Northern Ireland, where a bomb blast destroyed an office building last Tuesday, a special task force under the command of Brigadier General Alistair Folkes", etc. The report runs for a minute, then the phone rings and Higgins, off-camera, answers. The audio of the TV fades in and out to leave room to the relevant conversation, but you can still hear that it's going in a loop, repeating the exact sentence it started with and moving on from there word by word. Other mistake: With power out Magnum somehow lights the gas stove with the knob, which is electric. Should have used a match. (00:26:40)
Higgins: How fiendishly deceptive of you, Magnum. I could have sworn I was hearing the emasculation of a large rodent. To my great surprise, I see the sounds are emanating from what I thought was a harmless musical instrument.
Magnum: Cute Higgins, real cute.
Higgins: Why Magnum? Why do this terrible thing?
Magnum: Higgins, I'll have you know I used to be very good. I was the second best sax player in my High School band!
Higgins: Well, how many sax players were there?!
Magnum: ...Anyway. I just saw this in a pawn shop window and thought I'd like to try and get my chops back.
Higgins: May I suggest that your "chops" are irretrievable.
