Continuity mistake: Magnum grabs Bridget by the arm and drags her to the Ferrari. When she says peeved "He was my father, Magnum!" she puts her hand on her hip, but the reverse shot does not acknowledge this change of stance, and she is still standing with her arms down her body like in the earlier matching angle. It happens again with the same angles a moment later. (00:17:20)

Continuity mistake: In a remarkable coincidence, the Admiral Magnum needs to talk to happens to be chilling at his place about to get a mouthful of Higgins' buns. When he answers Magnum "Probably too much" after the vigorous shake, his left hand is behind the seat of the Ferrari, but it's on the car door in the shot that follows. (00:22:15)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the car chase, Rick is in a bit of a jam. There's a close-up with the actors in between two wide shots with the stuntpeople in the car; in that close-up the sunlight is different, as it can be easily seen on the backseats. (00:26:00)

Continuity mistake: TC and Magnum incapacitate a yoyo with a net, then make a hasty escape. The camera cuts when Selleck's stuntman has the camera hand on the window frame, but Selleck himself in the next one has his legs already out and simply has to hop off the sill. (00:31:30)

Continuity mistake: Magnum puts the incriminating pictures on Vic Stout's desk. He sits back and smiles; the envelope the pictures came in is now closed, the flap is not visible anymore. (00:33:45)

Continuity mistake: Magnum tells Vic Stout; "This truck? That's yours" holding a picture with his right hand, which after a 1 second cut turns into the the left hand even if he did not appear to have moved. (00:34:00)

Continuity mistake: Karen and Magnum have their chat in 'Nam about Thomas' gambling debt. During the scene, in one recurring angle Karen has hair down her temple, in front of her ear, which is gone in other views. (00:03:00)
Continuity mistake: When Thomas hands the newspaper to Rick, the paper is perfectly straight in close-up, then folded with the middle pointed down, then folded with the middle being raised. (00:07:00)
Continuity mistake: Magnum is talking with the administrator of the hospital, Phillip Harriman. He asks him about Dr. Jorgenson. When Harriman answers, a rather conspicuous fella with a big head of curly hair walks into the building. When Magnum walks off at the end of the scene, he comes across that same guy, who again is entering the building. (00:11:35)
Continuity mistake: After his first encounter with the annoying reporter, Magnum is swimming. He is wearing blue swim trunks. The he emerges from water to get his towel and chat with Higgins...but his swim trunks are now light brown. (00:14:10)
Continuity mistake: After denying any rumor about any more Iron Man competitions, Magnum asks Higgins about Dr. Jorgenson. His left hand is wrapped in the bath towel whenever Tom Selleck is filmed from the front, but it's bare in the views from the back. (00:15:05)
Continuity mistake: To get to the pool area, Magnum slides a door open to the left (of the screen). When he finds the body floating in the water, the underwater camera shows the background, and the door opens towards the right. (00:39:20)
Continuity mistake: Poolside, Magnum asks Daniels "Why change now?" His notepad suddenly switches side going from the left hand to the right. (00:39:55)
Continuity mistake: Mr. MacLeish is in his plane, and before taking off he presses Play on the cassette player. He is holding it in a different way (fingers on opposite sides of the tape lid) between shots. (00:03:40)
