Out of the Frying Pan - S8-E18

Continuity mistake: Vance slams the axe on the table and through a picture of the victim. However, when Vance removes the axe a minute later, the axe is through a different part of the picture. The 1st time the axe goes through the neck/shoulders of the man in the picture but when removed it's in the forehead. (00:29:50)

Freedom - S8-E13

Other mistake: McGee says that Jancy got into her cab at 12:37am and arrived at her destination at 12:55. That's 18 minutes for the taxi to drive "over 20 miles away" Hardly likely given traffic. (00:29:00)

Suggested correction: You missed the point of what he said. The cab ride ends at Gilroy's address, which is 20 miles from Travis Wooten's home. But the ride didn't start at Wooten's home, it started at Feeney's Billiard Club. They don't make any mention how many miles the ride was.

Freedom - S8-E13

Continuity mistake: When the girlfriend is telling McGee that everything was fine between her and the victim in the club she has her cigarette up by her mouth. Camera changes and now it's lowered out of shot. (00:09:35)

Sandblast - S4-E7

Factual error: Lieutenant Colonel Mann explains to the NCIS team that a "99 Toyota" is the only unaccounted for vehicle from the golf course bombing. The vehicle is a Toyota but is obviously a mid-80's Corolla, with the last production year being 1987, making it over a decade older than Mann claims. Additionally, she would not have know the year of the vehicle prior to the team running the plate, nor would she have pointlessly assumed its year. (00:32:06)

Trojan Horse - S4-E23

Continuity mistake: When Gibbs rejects the agent's file, Cynthia reaches for the ringing telephone with her right hand and Gibbs stops her with his left hand, but in the closeup Gibbs has his right hand on Cynthia's left hand. The closeup is a flipped shot, note their watches. (00:03:05)

Lt. Jane Doe - S2-E4

Plot hole: It really doesn't make sense that they found the real killer from Jane Doe #1 assuming he also killed Jane Doe #2. They only found him because they assumed he was in prison for the last 10 years. One could explain that he must have gone to prison shortly after the first murder because he said he'd be back but wasn't, but that he was actually recently released is just pure coincidence. And without finding him they would never have suspected Officer Cluxton.

Masquerade - S7-E14

Continuity mistake: When McGee is at the online wedding, a man with a green shirt and blue folder can be seen walking down the steps behind him. The same man can be seen preforming the same action a few seconds later. (00:03:00)

Road Kill - S6-E10

Other mistake: When looking at the phone records, there are 4 calls that are highlighted as being made to the same number. Each call lasting exactly the same amount of time. Highly unlikely. (00:34:15)

Keep Going - S14-E13

Other mistake: While panning the front of Gibbs' home, the roof of one vehicle and the windshield/passenger mirror of a second can be seen behind the gate/fence in Gibbs' driveway behind his truck. He lives alone and does not share a driveway with other homes. In reality, Gibbs' home is located at 2647 S. Magnolia Ave in LA, and the vehicles likely belong to the real residents/homeowner. Kill Ari: Part 2 - S3-E2

Factual error: After Gerald gets back to NCIS HQ, he notes that he wasn't able to drive Ducky's Morgan; a stick. Abby brags about knowing how to drive a stick since she was ten. When asked what she drove that had stick, she answered, "Red '47 Ford half-ton with four on the floor and Bubba riding shotgun." When asked who Bubba was, she answered that he was the best coon dog in Jefferson Parish. If in fact Abby grew up in the city of New Orleans, as stated by McGee in the episode before, the dog would not have been the best coon dog in Jefferson Parish but Orleans Parish. No part of New Orleans is inside the Parish of Jefferson. If it was truly the best coon dog in Jefferson Parish then Abby would have lived in Metarie or Kenner, Louisiana, both of which are inside the parish limits of Jefferson Parish.

Conspiracy Theory - S2-E19

Continuity mistake: Gibbs puts his gun in his drawer on a blue folder then goes to talk to Fornell in the lift. When he comes back, he picks his gun up and the contents of the drawer and position of the gun have completely changed. (00:14:50 - 00:16:50)

Chasing Ghosts - S10-E20

Character mistake: Ducky states that the Romans believed that the vein of 4th finger on the left hand ran directly to the heart, thus, logically, it was the "ring" finger. However, there is no evidence that the belief originated with the Romans, nor that the 4th finger has a special vein...the fingers in the hand have a similar vein structure.

See No Evil - S2-E1

[Gibbs is drinking a cup of coffee.]
Kate Todd: Gibbs, it's like one hundred degrees in here. How can you drink that stuff?
Leroy Gibbs: It keeps me cool.

Agent Afloat - S6-E2

Trivia: Season 6, "Agent Afloat": Maybe real aircraft carriers posing as fictional ones shouldn't let viewers see their registration numbers. When this episode aired, producers heard from several "carrier purists" complaining that CVN74 is the U.S.S. John C. Stennis, not the (non-existent) Seahawk.

Show generally

Question: I finally saw the 2-part episode from the show JAG. Does anyone know what happened to Viv Blackadder? I don't recall hearing anyone ever mention the name on NCIS.

Answer: I hadn't seen the backdoor pilots yet but while it wasn't explicitly stated, at least onscreen, I heard somewhere Vivian got either fired from NCIS due to jeopardizing a case, got resigned from the agency, or transferred to the FBI.

Raykvega423

Answer: I dont believe it is ever mentioned, but like most pilot episodes the characters are often changed, replaced or even removed in this case.
