NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service

1mm - S18-E6

Continuity mistake: While Bishop and Torres are locked in the two jail cells, Bishop knocks out the glass from her barred window, but when Torres breaks the old toilet and says, "I really think we're stuck in here," Bishop's cell window glass is perfectly intact - we can see the reflection of all the bars. Something Blue - S14-E23

Continuity mistake: When Gibbs and McGee are alone in the kitchen, in the closeups of McGee when he raises his left hand (such as when he takes the watch from Gibbs) he is not wearing a ring, but in the consecutive shots of the duo McGee is wearing a ring on his left hand (also odd, since it looks like McGee's wedding band). (00:39:10)

Super Grover

Enemy Combatant - S14-E8

Visible crew/equipment: While Gibbs is in Forensics with Abby and McGee, they inform him about the data recovery from Commander Reza's car. When Abby tells Gibbs that someone hated technology more than him, Abby says, "Mind blown," and at the start of the next shot, the boom mic dips into view above Gibbs. (00:21:00)

Super Grover

After Hours - S13-E17

Continuity mistake: During Delilah and Tim's dinner, when Delilah places corn on the cob onto Tim's plate note the positions of the broccoli and shrimp. In the following shots the broccoli and shrimp repeatedly switch to opposite positions. (00:13:45)

Secrets - S9-E15

Continuity mistake: During their first day's investigation of the double homicide Tony is wearing a grey suit, white shirt, and burgundy tie. On the second day, while Tony is wearing a dark suit, light blue shirt and dark blue tie, when Gibbs tells Tony to go see what Ducky wants in Autopsy, Tony is back to wearing what he wore on their first day. Then at Tobett's house, Tony is again wearing the light blue shirt and dark blue tie. (00:04:30 - 00:31:00)

Super Grover

Loose Cannons - S13-E16

Visible crew/equipment: While Gibbs is at the diner with Dr. Taft and his wife he gets a call from Ellie, and when it cuts to the overhead shot of Gibbs, Ellie, and Tony walking toward each other, on the ground we can see the reddish chalk mark (for Gibbs) and two white chalk T-marks (for Tony and Ellie) where the three actors meet. (00:26:10)

Blood Brothers - S13-E10

Revealing mistake: While Ellie and George are in the attic, Ellie uses her laptop to access contact info and gets Richard Doogan's DOD military service record. There's a closeup of the laptop screen as she begins to read aloud, but the problem is part of the paragraph reads, "And he's only a few hours away in Kansas..." and especially "I need to update Gibbs" which are Ellie's lines in the dialogue with her brother. (00:16:45)

Super Grover

The Artful Dodger - S12-E17

Visible crew/equipment: After Jimmy and Tony's chat, when Tony heads to the elevator Jimmy mutters that he hates being out of the loop. In the next overhead exterior shot of Tony's car, on the rear passenger window we can see the reflection of the boom operator walking and holding the boom pole/microphone. (00:21:30)

Super Grover

The San Dominick - S12-E5

Visible crew/equipment: When Tony is with Captain O'Rourke in the parking lot, Borin approaches from behind. As O'Rourke turns to face Borin the actor's microphone has slipped out from under his shirt, between the buttons. Then when Borin says, "So will you," in the next shot facing O'Rourke and Tony, that mic is visible again. (00:38:10)

Super Grover

Better Angels - S11-E7

Continuity mistake: When Tony is sitting at McGee's desk talking to Delilah, Tony's holding the phone to his left ear with his left hand, but in the overhead shot Tony's holding the phone to his right ear with his right hand. (00:15:50)

Super Grover

See No Evil - S2-E1

[Gibbs is drinking a cup of coffee.]
Kate Todd: Gibbs, it's like one hundred degrees in here. How can you drink that stuff?
Leroy Gibbs: It keeps me cool.

Agent Afloat - S6-E2

Trivia: Season 6, "Agent Afloat": Maybe real aircraft carriers posing as fictional ones shouldn't let viewers see their registration numbers. When this episode aired, producers heard from several "carrier purists" complaining that CVN74 is the U.S.S. John C. Stennis, not the (non-existent) Seahawk.

Show generally

Question: I finally saw the 2-part episode from the show JAG. Does anyone know what happened to Viv Blackadder? I don't recall hearing anyone ever mention the name on NCIS.

Answer: I hadn't seen the backdoor pilots yet but while it wasn't explicitly stated, at least onscreen, I heard somewhere Vivian got either fired from NCIS due to jeopardizing a case, got resigned from the agency, or transferred to the FBI.

Raykvega423

Answer: I dont believe it is ever mentioned, but like most pilot episodes the characters are often changed, replaced or even removed in this case.
