Factual error: Maurizio Gucci is killed practically in front of a recognizable landmark (Fontana delle Rane, "Frog Fountain") in Rome, but in reality he was killed in Milan. The registration plates of the cars in the scene are also "MI", which would be a pretty extraordinary coincidence in Rome.

House of Gucci (2021)
Factual error: When Paolo insults Maurizio and Patrizia after the disaster at his fashion show, in the background there's a street sign (a red and blue circle with a cross) which was introduced only in 1992. The scene is set in 1986. (01:25:50)

House of Gucci (2021)
Factual error: When Patrizia tells Maurizio that she talked to Paolo, the coffee table showcases a variety of books completely inappropriate for the 1983 timeframe (for instance there's "All Prints of Kusama Yayoi" with her pumpkin print from 2005 on the cover and "The Lives of Others" by Simon Watson, which came out in 2020). House of Gucci (2021)
Factual error: When Maurizio is discussing for the first time Paolo's burgeoning business, on the table you can see San Pellegrino bottled water with the modern format and packaging instead of the appropriate bottle shape and label for 1983 that appears in other scenes. (01:11:00)

House of Gucci (2021)
Factual error: Backstage at Versace's in 1983, in the scene with the enigmatic "Walter" the song from Eric B. And Rakim, "Paid In Full" plays diegetically. The song was a 1987 release. (01:09:05)

House of Gucci (2021)
Factual error: When Patrizia gives her reluctant father-in-law the locket the birthdate of the baby is not only historically inaccurate (real life Alessandra Gucci was born in 1977, in the movie they hadn't even met by that time) but does not fit the altered timeline of the movie itself, since it says January 20th 1980. It was established that they met in 1978 and married 2 years after that, so a baby in early 1980 is way too soon considering the pregnancy happens way after the wedding in the movie too. (00:58:40)

House of Gucci (2021)
Factual error: The scene inside the bookstore takes place in March 1978, as shown also by the calendar behind Adam Driver, which says "March 1978." But, it's not a March 1978 calendar. The Sundays (marked in red) don't match. They just took whatever calendar they had and changed the top. (00:09:40)

House of Gucci (2021)
Factual error: When Maurizio notices Patrizia peeking at him from behind the law book, you get a look at the bottom shelves of the store. A large book bears the title "Come funziona la psicologia", Italian version of a Jo Hemmings book from 2019. The scene is set in 1978. (00:08:30)

House of Gucci (2021)
Factual error: The name of the truck company owned by Patrizia's stepfather is "Corriere F. Reggiani." It's not a fitting name for his company, since we see the company fleet is made of flatbed trucks, and "corriere" in Italy is the express delivery courier. Later in the movie there's a movie prop that accidentally shows on screen an article about the real life story, and the name of the company is "Autotrasporti F.Reggiani", which would be the correct, and actual, name.

The Colonel's Bequest
Factual error: When Fifi changes out of her uniform teasing some sweet EGA pixel nudity, the unmistakeable tunes of Ravel's Bolero play from her Victrola. The game is set in 1925, but the famous Ravel music piece premiered only in 1928.

Death on the Nile (1978)
Factual error: Mrs. Van Schuyler reads the news of the Linnet's wedding on a copy of the Washington Post bearing the date September 11 1930. However, the cars used in the movie (Linnet's Rolls-Royce 25/30 and Jackie's MG J2 Midget) are from several years later in the decade. (00:09:30)

House of Gucci (2021)
Factual error: In the opening view of the lunch where Maurizio's father meets Patrizia and is less than impressed by her, an elderly lady is reading a newspaper. On the newspaper there' s the ad for "Il profumo del potere", which is the Italian version of TV miniseries/soap "Bare essence", judging from the photo the two-part, 4-hour version. It came out in Italy in December 1983, and the scene is set in the late '70s. (00:15:15)

House of Gucci (2021)
Factual error: Patrizia Reggiani signs a series of bank cheques from March 1978. The same evening she goes to a party. First song playing; "On the radio", released in late 1979. Second one (when he meets the dorky Gucci heir behind the bar); "Anna" by Miguel Bosé, released in 1978, yes, but around November. When she convinces him to dance, the main song played is "Love to love you baby", which is appropriate being from 1975, but before switching to it, for a few seconds you can hear the riff from "Bad Girl", again a Donna Summer hit, released both as a single and part of the album only in 1979.

Ghostbusters (1984)
Factual error: The newspapers in the 'rise to success' montage have all the dates wrong; Usa Today says Tuesday October 8, 1984 (it was a Monday), New York Post says Thursday October 22 (it was a Monday). The USA Today also has a headline "Thin Man dies" which refers to William Powell's death, in March, and the Globe cites "Princess Di expecting again!", which was announced in February (but the fake mag is dated October). (Note; the USA Today details are in the left column and need you to pause, but the others don't - you can also find perfect reproductions of the prop online). (00:39:30)

Agatha Christie's Poirot (1989)
Factual error: The night of the murder, before Jackie has her nervous outburst Ferguson is reading a magazine. It's Life magazine from January 1937 with FDR on the cover. The episode is set in January 1936 (as you can see from the date on Pennington's ticket).

Appointment With Death (1988)
Factual error: The movie is set in May 1937, considering that the finale happens during the coronation ball for George VI, May 12 1937. However, in an earlier scene in the hotel lobby (when the matriarch blocks her son's path with her cane) Poirot is reading a copy of The Palestine Post from July 8th of the same year. (00:34:00)

Appointment With Death (1988)
Factual error: Right after the movie shows us a sign telling us that we are in NJ in 1937, here you have Ginevra Boynton reading the March 1938 issue of Daring Detective, which even plays a larger role in the story later. (00:00:35)

Appointment With Death (1988)
Factual error: Poirot meets the rest of the cast at the port of Trieste before they sail off for Jaffa. In actuality though, they already were in Jaffa, which served double duty acting as a very poor stand-in for Trieste; the architecture of the port and promenade is nothing like Trieste's, and you can see in the establishing shot Jaffa's St. Peter's church. The ABC Murders (2018)
Episode #1.3 - S1-E3
Factual error: On the train, Franklin Clarke is perusing the racing news. The episode is set in 1933, but the horses mentioned in the page he's reading, such as Astley Wood, Garcette, Incense Boy, were active only years later, racing in Bath (the programme he's looking at) in 1938-39. (00:34:00)

House of Gucci (2021)
Factual error: When Patrizia Reggiani signs cheques on her father's behalf, the bank that issues them is "Banca di Credito Colli Briani." Reasonably enough, is a completely made up name for a bank, but also bizarre because "Colli Briani" would be a toponym ("Briani Hills") but does not match any name in Italy - at most "Colli Briantei", which would be the Brianza region, not far from Milan where the story takes place. No other names of places or people in the rest of the movie are fictional. Moreover, the cheques don't have the number of the account they are associated with, and they are out of order. (00:03:40)
