Factual error: Talking about Darius Stone's military record, Agent Meadows mentions in passing that he holds the Navy record for highest dive at 250 feet. That wouldn't be the Navy record, that would be the world record, higher than the current one by over 50 feet. It's fine for a movie to make up some facts, obviously, but here they downplay what appears to be a next to superhuman ability. It's like having the main character running the 100 meters dash in 8 seconds and call it a "navy record." (00:25:50)

Factual error: The train conductor tells the bad guy that "air brakes are blown, can't slow us down anymore." But air brakes in modern trains are fail-safe; if they are 'blown', they lose pressure and therefore activate automatically. (01:27:50)

Factual error: The main character manages to save the Prez thanks to a blatantly absurd trick; he gets (just like that, on the fly, at 160 mp/h bumping everywhere like in a pinball) his car on the railroad tracks, and rides them completely consuming the tyres, and going just on rims he actually attains a better peak velocity. Assuming the Cobra has exactly the same width as the train, this is not how cars and their wheels work. (01:24:20)

Factual error: From the title itself it should be clear that the movie is set when the President is giving the State of the Union address, which is in the middle of winter (end of Jan, approx). The movie has been shot between June and October, and it shows, since everywhere in Virginia the trees and lawns are in full green and people wear for the most part light clothes.

You don't need to look the tank specs up to see that something is wrong there, because tanks are fairly grounded vehicles not easily shaken off, and one looks much much smaller than the other; in fact the M2 Bradley is bit less than 30 tons and the bad guys' Abrams is around 60 tons. With this kind of disparity, not even Ice Cube's bulk can make the difference. (00:56:00)

Factual error: The sniper that lets Ice Cube roam free the roof all cat-like tries to make up for his mistake by shooting him repeatedly as he boards the heli. Factual error: The weapon Xander fires in the basement to kill the sniper with the might of his irony does not make sense (as noted before, it is non-existent and its prop is a modified camcorder). First of all, he is firing it with his back to the wall, and the deflected backblast alone would fry Vin Diesel's arse. Second; it fires a heat-seeking rocket that targets a single lit cigarette completely outside of Xander's range, to the point that the projectile does almost a U turn (way more than 90°); if it just goes for any smallest object wildly off the supposed target range (Vin Diesel is looking at a screen when he points it), then it could end up targeting the launcher itself, heated up by just having fired, or weapons or shells just fired by allies, making it useless in combat. Third; the screen Vin Diesel is looking at...is switched off. (01:38:40)

What follows is a shot of London with Big Ben showing 5:35, but it must be 5:35 PM, because even in August at that time in the morning the sun has not even dawned yet. Factual error: Deepika Padukone cuts through steel using a thermal lance - you can see in a shot with Yen and Bisping sparks flying through the door. She then opens the same metal door placing her unprotected hand on it and keeping it in place for a second. Factual error: When Xiang shoots at the agents in the conference room sliding along the table, he surfs through it without buttscooting or moving his legs or anything; he gave himself a light push with the foot at the beginning, but he couldn't glide like that for such a prolonged time and length even if the room were built not level, and he soaped up his fancy leather jacket before the fight. Factual error: The doomsday device used by the bad guys to hack the various satellites apparently gives them also magic boosts, since normal satellites do here things they can't, such as autonomously move around changing orbit and jetting towards Earth, in seconds even. Not just that; they burn during atmospheric entry staying overall intact, including the 'wings' with the solar panels, which would be the first elements to disintegrate. (00:03:00)

Factual error: Xander Cage is not an X-Man nor a cyborg, but to mooch a football game he throws himself off a comm tower landing after a good 60 feet fall into a slope he then proceeds to ski on without the slightest scratch or problem. There are anedoctal evidence of people surviving even 10 thousand feet falls, but no matter how big of a risktaker Xander Cage is, his 'plan' is all sorts of insane and with a 99% chance of getting life-threatening injuries. Factual error: When Xander Cage freeboots the football game, people in the bars of the neighbourhood cheer. One of those bars though is a bit odd, considering that the posters to the right of the frame bear words ("Pinctada" and "Eskrima") that don't seem to fit the Dominican Republic setting, but rather the Philippines, which is where Cage will go much later in the movie. Factual error: In his initial 'mission', Xander Cage decides to give everyone free pay TV so the supposedly poor crowd that is chilling in the local bars can watch an important football game live. By the footage shown, the football game in question is the 2016 Summer Olympics final between Brazil and Germany. The game took place at 5:30 local (Rio) time, which would be 4:30 for Cage in Dominican Republic, surely not sunset. It also should be noted, albeit somewhat in jest, that Brazil in that match should be playing with black armbands, since their captain Neymar tragically died with Samuel Jackson right at the beginning of the movie, which is mere hours before! In fact, Neymar should have been in Brazil with his team, not with the poor man's Nick Fury. (00:15:20)

Factual error: April interviews (live) the police Chief and then tries to take the train back home. The subway station shows that it's the City Hall stop, and she just finished her interview with the guy, which happened mid-afternoon as you can see by the clock in the corridor. Despite being New York in the middle of the day, there's not a soul in the station, nobody got off the train she just missed, nobody around at all on any of the multiple platforms. It's a trope good for a scene set at 3 AM, not 5 PM. (00:19:25)
