Corrected entry: In the scene with the snowball fight, as Buddy and Michael are running under the bridge there are only two kids standing on the bridge. However, when they duck behind the rock, it shows the bridge again and there are three kids throwing snow balls. (00:52:30)

Elf (2003)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Buddy redecorates Gimble's, he is shown only making one building out of Legos (The Empire State Building -which is made of light Legos on top). However, when the store opens the next morning, there are 3 buildings and the Empire State Building is made of dark Legos. (00:32:00 - 00:35:00)
Correction: Just because we are not shown on camera everything Buddy does that night, doesn't mean he didn't do it.

Superman Returns (2006)
Corrected entry: Why does gravity seem to be either on or off while on the airplane? Just leaving the atmosphere would not suddenly cause things to start floating as they do.
Correction: The weightlessness occurs when the plane hits the top of a parabolic arc and starts to head back down to earth. This is how they films zero-gravity scenes for movies.

The Santa Clause (1994)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Santa is getting his new equipment for his run, the elf giving him the stuff is named Quentin. This is a reference to the James Bond films - the guy who issues Bond's equipment is named simply Q.
Correction: Without any evidence that the filmmaker's deliberately intended this, it could also just be a coincidence.

Saw III (2006)
Corrected entry: When the woman is frozen, the ice forms way-too-thick a layer around her too quickly to be realistic.
Correction: Depending upon the temperature of the water being sprayed, and the temperature of the room, the ice could certainly form that fast. Having lived in Norway, I have seen ocean spray freeze instantly on cars.

Saw III (2006)
Corrected entry: At the end, when the woman's head is blown up, only her face is destroyed, without any damage to her neck. This makes no sense, as the explosives were around the neck.
Correction: I've seen the movie twice, and it certainly looks to me like everything from the neck up is blown away.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)
Corrected entry: There is absolutely no way that a ship the size of the Nautilus could navigate the Thames, as it does. From the hull to the top of the sail it is too tall to fit under any one of the many bridges that were on the Thames at the time without running aground, quite apart from the fact that there is no part of the Thames in London deep enough for such a huge vessel to be wholly submerged.
Correction: There is no way the sub could navigate the canals of Venice either, but it has been established that the 'universe' for the graphic novels and the film are not the same as ours, so the same rules do not apply.

Judge Dredd (1995)
Corrected entry: While introducing his family to Dredd, Pa Angel sets Mean machine to level 1 by twisting his dial to the west position, however a few shots later Mean's dial is set to 2 (north) and Pa then sets him to level 3 (east) as Dredd escapes from his bindings. No-one is seen to switch mean from level 1 to level 2 in the interim.
Correction: This entry assumes that every character's actions are shown on-camera. Just because no one is seen doing it, doesn't mean the setting wasn't changed.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
Corrected entry: To avoid lawsuits the makers of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" put a piece of tape over the brand logo on the chainsaw that Leatherface used, and it is still a mystery what brand of chainsaw was used in the movie.
Correction: The chainsaw used in this film was a Poulan 306A, with a piece of black tape covering the Poulan logo in order to avoid a possible lawsuit. (Source: Interview with Tobe Hooper).

Doctor Who (2005)
Corrected entry: Any security system worth its salt would stop accepting codes after too many incorrect ones have been entered. This is pretty much standard for security software, even today. No security system of the future would be written so badly as to just allow millions of combinations to be sent one after the other so quickly. The Dalek should really never have been able to get out as the door panel should have blocked after three or four invalid codes were entered.
Correction: Technically true, but Van Statten was so arrogant that he never thought that anyone could possibly hack the code anyway. Character mistake.

Superman II (1980)
Corrected entry: When the 3 kryptonians leave the Moon, Non throws the 2 flags in the space module. Note that the gravity works normally when the flags fall, like it does on Earth.
Correction: That's because he's adding kinetic energy to the flags by throwing them.

Stargate (1994)
Corrected entry: All these scientists and military personnel have opened a gateway to the other side of the known universe using a technology that is a) completely foreign to them, b) the first time they can get it to work, and c) one that can send stuff back to Earth instantly. No scientist or military personnel would ever allow a Nuclear Device to be sent through the portal, as the properties of the bomb alone travelling at the speed of light or faster could have had catastrophic results.
Correction: Perhaps very poor military judgment, but a character mistake, not a movie mistake.

Superman Returns (2006)
Corrected entry: Lex states that the crystals just need water to grow meaning that the new land must be somehow made from water molecules. In that case the land is effectively solidified water, lifted out of the ocean, meaning the worldwide water levels would drop, not rise. None of the flooding could ever happen.
Correction: Just because the crystals grow when placed in water, doesn't mean the resulting structure is made from water. When you water a seed, the resulting plant is not made from solidified water. The crystal probably expands in size exponentially when it hits water.

Superman Returns (2006)
Corrected entry: In the scene when Superman pushes the Krypton continent into space his cape still has drops of water. Water freezes at high altitudes and in space.
Correction: It was established in the first Superman movie, and mentioned again in Superman Returns, that Superman's body is quite warm, which is how he can carry Lois above the clouds without her freezing. The water is being warmed by his body.

Never Say Never Again (1983)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Bond fights Lippe in the health clinic you see the time is midday on a big clock but in a shot of a different clock in a different room the time has elapsed by hours.
Correction: It is entirely possible that the smaller clock either stopped, if it was on battery power, or was not set correctly.

X-Men 3 (2006)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Rogue talks to Wolverine about going to get the cure, she reveals that her real name is Marie. In the first X-men film, Rogue introduces herself to Wolverine as Marie after he reveals that his real name is Logan therefore eliminating the need for her to reveal her name in the third film.

The Shining (1980)
Corrected entry: A map of the hedge maze is shown on a signpost in one scene and it is quite small and symmetrical. Later when Shelly and her son are in the maze the camera pans up for a birds-eye view of the actual maze which is much larger and asymmetrical.
Correction: The signpost is not intended to be an exact map of the hedge maze. The hotel and maze are something of a tourist attraction, and the sign is pointing the way.
Corrected entry: If you look closely you can see the white witch's crown of ice shrink throughout the film. It is largest when she first meets Edmund and is almost nothing when she comes to Aslan's camp to demand Edmund's blood.
Correction: This is not trivia, but a plot point. As her power diminishes, so does the size of the crown.

Hannibal (2001)
Corrected entry: In Hannibal, Clarice says that in Memphis, Lecter killed 3 police officers during his escape. However, in The Silence Of The Lambs, he is seen murdering 2 police officers, and is later mentioned killing 2 paramedics and a tourist. (01:09:51)
Correction: Just because he is only 'seen' killing two police officers, he may very well have killed a third, off-screen, during his escape.

The Sopranos (1999)
Corrected entry: Towards the end of the episode, when everybody is gathered at the Sopranos house, Tony opens a door which has a mirror on it. Watch closely as he is opening it, you can see Pussy in the reflection even though he was killed in Season 2.
Correction: This is not a mistake, but a plot point. Tony feels some remorse about having to kill Pussy, so he sees him in the mirror. He is not really there.
Correction: Exactly. He feels bad for killing him. He says you were like a brother to me. To all of us, before he shot him.

Correction: Enough time has passed for another kid to run onto the bridge to try to get a better shot at Michael and Buddy.
