Misery (1990)

Corrected entry: When Paul is searching the house in the wheelchair and starts reading the scrapbook articles about Annie, they start to tell the story concerning the headline but if you freeze frame you can see the story just starts to repeat it self.

Correction: According to the rules of this site, if you have to use freeze-frame to see it, it's not a valid mistake.

wizard_of_gore

Corrected entry: When the Oompa Loompa is steering the Wonkatania, he doesn't move the steering wheel yet the ship manages to turn every corner. (00:59:00)

Correction: This was corrected in a similar entry. The boat could purposely be guided by a rail, to make it easier to control, and the wheel itself non-functional.

Lost (2004)

Correction: Actors appearing in other shows and/or movies is quite common, and is not really trivia.

Office Space (1999)

Corrected entry: When Peter goes to Joanna's restaurant to ask her out, her long hair is down. Some is pulled back, but there is still a lot of her hair hanging down in front of her. This mistake keeps getting removed (not corrected) from the site, but most restaurants do require waitresses to tie all of their hair back. Many don't allow waitresses to have any of their hair touching the collar of their shirt.

Correction: It's still not a mistake. Just because 'many' restaurants don't allow this, doesn't mean that this one doesn't. It's not exactly a five star establishment.

wizard_of_gore

Correction: I worked at a restaurant that was quite similar to this place - casual sit-down, "bar and grill" - and there were female servers who got away with this. And maybe Joanna's manager did speak to her about her hair (considering his dissatisfaction with her performance) at some point, off-screen.

Death Race 2000 (1975)

Corrected entry: Thomasina refers to the navigator as her granddaughter, yet at the end, the navigator refers to Thomasina as her great-grandmother.

Correction: This is a character decision. My own great-grandmother refers to me as her 'grandson' and not her 'great-grandson'.

Ghostbusters 2 (1989)

Corrected entry: When the Statue of Liberty makes its entrance in the streets of New York, close observation shows that the statue actually steps on a bunch of people.

BillyBlake

Correction: How is this a mistake? The guys cannot see exactly where the statue is going, and she is stepping on cars and other objects, so why not a few accidental people?

wizard_of_gore

Oh so it's not a poorly placed optical effect; the movie wants to tell us that the Ghostbusters are actual mass murderers. Just great.

Hollywoodland (2006)

Corrected entry: In the scene where George Reeves is drinking from a Coca-Cola bottle, the company logo is painted in white on the bottle. In the 1950's, the logo was actually molded into Coca-Cola bottles and clear.

Correction: The white logo bottle was widely available in the 1950's, as confirmed by the Coca Cola webiste and several other sites about the history of Coca Cola.

Nine to Five (1980)

Corrected entry: The warning on the box of rat poison says "Caution: keep out of reach of small children." Any sort of poison would say "Danger" and have a much more serious warning.

Correction: There is no way to know what brand of pesticide this is. In addition, in the time period that this movie is set, product warning labels were MUCH more lax than they are today.

Dreamgirls (2006)

Corrected entry: In the montage showing the release of the various "Dreams" albums, the cover art on several of them is based on Supremes records in the '60s. Most prominiently, "Meet the Dreams" is almost identical to "The Supremes A Go Go."

Correction: It's well known that the entire movie, as well as the original Broadway musical, is based upon the history of Diana Ross and the Supremes.

My Cousin Vinny (1992)

Corrected entry: When the prosecutor meets Vinny in court for the first time he asks him "Is your attorney present?" This would make no sense considering (3) things. (1) He would have had a photo identification of any suspects prior to trial. (2) The sheriff was right behind him in court when they met so the sheriff should have interceded and told the prosecutor that Vinny wasn't the person on trial. And (3) he should have know that he was prosecuting 2 teenagers, not a single grown man.

Rollin Garcia Jr

Correction: This statement is intended as an insult. He is mocking Vinny's ability to represent anyone.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: During the fusion process, all metal objects are drawn to the energy source, yet Octavius' wife's earrings aren't affected at all.

Correction: Not all metals are subject to magnetism. Gold and silver are not.

Lost (2004)

Show generally

Corrected entry: In episode "Doc": When Sun is talking to the blackmailer in the park in the beginning of the show, she demands 100 thousand dollars. Being in Korea, wouldn't she have asked for Won, which is the monetary unit of Korea?

Boobra

Correction: Not necessarily. She might have wanted the money in U.S. dollars for any of a number of reasons (for example, if she was thinking of leaving the country).

House, M.D. (2004)

Cursed - S1-E13

Corrected entry: Chase tells the two boys that he's a doctor treating Gabe Riley. That's a direct violation of his confidentiality, which no doctor would make.

Correction: This show requires some suspension of disbelief, as all of the doctors, including House, routinely violate protocol, not to mention the law, as when they break into peoples houses.

Borat (2006)

Corrected entry: In the map used for the road trip, it shows that they traveled on Interstate 95 through the center of North Carolina. In reality, this is where Interstate 85 runs.

Good Job!

Correction: This is probably part of the joke. The map is supposed to be from Kazakhstan, and probably has many errors. In fact, Borat and Azamat argue about the map several times.

Wayne's World (1992)

Corrected entry: When Wayne goes to get Cassandra, he manages to find the video shoot quite easily considering that Cassandra only told him that she was going to Chicago, not where in Chicago she was going to.

Correction: Not everything that occurs between characters is shown on camera. Just because we didn't see her tell him, does not mean that she didn't.

Casino Royale (2006)

Corrected entry: In the "You Know My Name" intro sequence, there comes a point where the Seven of Hearts card flies up, to have two bullet holes in it to make 007. This is unlikely as the numbers and letters on most playing cards are marked in the top left corner, making it difficult to spell "007".

Correction: This is a stylized opening credits sequence, and is not meant to portray real life.

wizard_of_gore

Corrected entry: Enterprise hits the prototype Bird Of Prey with a torpedo they build with the equipment they're carrying for categorizing gaseous anomalies. At the beginning of the film, we hear that its actually the Excelsior that is out on a mission categorizing gaseous anomalies. Considering Enterprise was at dock and the crew decommissioned, its unlikely they would have had the equipment on board.

Correction: There are any number of reasons why the Enterprise could have had this equipment on board. Perhaps it was there for a long time, and they were waiting to transfer it to another vessel. Also, the crew was not decommissioned at the beginning of the film, considering they were sent to escort the Klingon ship through Federation space.

Heroes (2006)

Collision - S1-E4

Corrected entry: When Hiro stops time to fix the result of the roulette, he grabs the roulette's ball in mid air. The roulette's ball can't bounce that high and most likely the ball was still spinning around the roulette.

Correction: I am an gambler and avid roulette player, and the ball can definitely jump that high. I have seen the ball "pop" completley over the partition and onto the floor.

wizard_of_gore

Corrected entry: In the scene where Buttercup and Westley are rolling down the hill, go into slow mo and pause it on their faces. The same stunt double played both parts.

Correction: The rules of the site are clear. If you need to use pause or slow-mo, it's not a mistake.

Borat (2006)

Corrected entry: When Borat leaves the bus with the partying students, and he stands alone on the road, you can see the shadow of the cameraman.

Correction: Since this is supposed to be a documentary (although a mock one), the fact that there is a cameraman following Borat around is not a surprise, or a mistake.
