Corrected entry: While they're eating dinner, Deena says "I can't believe this is happening" to which Curtis says "you made it happen! you are the queen of Disco!" The error here is that Diana Ross didn't sing disco until after she went solo, in 1970. (01:26:05)
Corrected entry: In the montage showing the release of the various "Dreams" albums, the cover art on several of them is based on Supremes records in the '60s. Most prominiently, "Meet the Dreams" is almost identical to "The Supremes A Go Go."
Correction: It's well known that the entire movie, as well as the original Broadway musical, is based upon the history of Diana Ross and the Supremes.
Correction: While it is widely known that this movie and the preceding musical are inspired by Diana Ross and The Supremes, this isn't a documentary, or even a biopic. Many characters in the movie were inspired by real-life people, but it does not mean that the filmmakers need to remain 100% factual to the people that they drew inspiration from.
