The Acolyte picture

Lost/Found - S1-E1

Factual error: A mechanic is outside the ship repairing the shields. A fire starts, and the fire burns just as it would in an atmosphere. Impossible in the vacuum of space.

Robo Koopa - S1-E52

Factual error: Koopa tries to kill the Mario brothers, Bunsun and Dr. Nerdnik by pushing an electric pole at them. Mario and Luigi use a nearby fire hydrant to protect them by having water rush out of it and keeping the pole from crushing them. There is no way a single blast of water can stop a large pole from falling, and the brothers would have been electrocuted as soon as the water hit the pole. (00:07:00)

This can also be seen very by the various signs throughout the city that are not found in the US and are very Canadian in nature, such as the Do Not Enter and One Way.

Heal Thyself - S3-E11

Factual error: Magnum shows the news of Dr. Karen Harmon on the newspaper to TC and Rick and tells them "She was with the 71st Evac Hospital at Binh Thuy, remember?", but the 71st Evac was at Pleiku, over 600km up north. (00:07:00)

Fire in the Hole - S1-E1

Factual error: When Walter Goggins fires a LAW at the church from next to the vehicle, the back-blast from the rocket would have shattered the car's windows, and flying glass fragments would likely have injured the occupant. The show depicts neither outcome.

Chapter 10: The Passenger - S2-E2

Factual error: The premise of the episode is that Mando needs to travel at sublight speed or else the fragile eggs will die. They need to travel to a nearby star system, though, not just a planet. Stars can't be too close together, so Mando is in for a trip that would take him literally years, which is not reflected at all by what is shown in the episode. (00:08:00)

Beauty Knows No Pain - S2-E5

Factual error: The opening shot of the episode with the Sphinx and the Pyramids is filled with numerous errors. Firstly, the Sphinx is missing its feet. Secondly, there is a stream in front of the Sphinx. There are no bodies of water in front of the Sphinx. There are temples there. Lastly, as the camera pans to the right, the Pyramids come into view, suggesting they are northeast of the Sphinx. One of the Pyramids is northwest of the Sphinx, and the other one is directly behind it. (00:00:01)

Look for the Light - S1-E9

Factual error: In the giraffe scene, the Salt Lake LDS Temple can be seen in the background. However, this view of the temple is as it looks today. The building has been undergoing earthquake and stability renovations for a few years (as of 2024), and is completely shrouded in scaffolding. That is the view shown here, and not what the temple would have looked like when "abandoned" in 2003. Also, many of the tall downtown buildings shown in these shots did not exist in 2003.

Beyond Logic - S1-E10

Factual error: Season 1, Episode 10: Lee is trying to get out of the underworld on his capsule with the rescued others. They all get in, and he closes the top hatch by turning the hatch wheel clockwise. Trying to take off, a wire becomes disconnected outside, and Lee has to go out again. He turns the hatch wheel clockwise, and this time it opens instead of closing. If it was clockwise for close, it should be counterclockwise to open.

The Crystal Calls - S1-E9

Samurai Jack picture

Show generally

Factual error: Even though the show is called "Samurai Jack", Jack isn't really a samurai. The correct title for him would be a Ronin as a Ronin loses their master if their master dies or loses favor with their master and also has no home anywhere. Jack has these attributes. He has no master and no home.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Nor is his name really Jack. "Jack", and thus "Samurai Jack", is just an alias that the prince takes. It's not meant to be his title or rank. Just like Cowboy Jack wasn't actually a cowboy.

Family Time - S1-E9

Factual error: In the barn, one of the kids shoots Cameron, then drops the gun and flees. Cameron picks up the gun and checks how many rounds are in the magazine and then puts the magazine back in. However, after that, she pulls the slide back to chamber a round. But the semi-automatic pistol would already have a round in the chamber since it was just fired, and her action should have ejected an unspent round, which it doesn't.

The Devil We Know - S1-E9

Factual error: There are two Marines posted at Marine 1, the Presidential helicopter. Their pants are ridiculously long and not the image of Marines with well-fitted uniforms. Their position of attention is wrong, with the hands clenched and placed on their thighs as opposed to being fixed at the sides. Worse, when they saluted with their right hands were above the service cap brim, instead of the fingertips touching the bottom of the brim.

A Ghost for Scotland Yard - S2-E8

Factual error: Bearing in mind the episode takes place in London, Sir Arthur MacCready is driving his Rolls Royce. The car has the steering wheel on the left hand side. A true British Rolls Royce would have the steering wheel on the right side. This is a Hollywood Rolls Royce.

The False Play - S1-E2

Factual error: The move Brozzi uses to score the final goal in his hat-trick is illegal; in soccer you can't climb on someone's shoulders to get an edge in a header, even if the person is a teammate. On a marginal note, the players he encounters in the box have names of real players at national level, but in completely different positions (Vieri and Toni were not defenders). (00:20:40)
