Character mistake: After the things let the dog out, Larry calls Joan and tells her that the kids let him out, and he will get him (the dog). Later, when he's downtown with the dog, he has the line about "when Joan finds out you've escaped, Conrad's out and I'm in". Where is the surprise? He already called her, so she knows!

![The Fifth Element picture](/images/titles/0-999/472_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: When the police scan Leeloo the first time, the computer reads "Commencin" instead of "Commencing."
![Kim Possible picture](/images/titles/12000-12999/12899_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: It's merely training, but her opponents are hostile and want to exclude her from playing, so it's funny then that they don't call Kim out for her actions being egregious fouls; she brings the ball trapping it between her feet in multiple cartwheels (you can't just hold the ball between your feet for prolonged amount of times and 'carry' it). You could also say she kicks the ball at an opponent's face on purpose, which is equally unsporting. (00:24:00)
![Live and Let Die picture](/images/titles/0-999/757_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: When Rosie sticks her revolver in Bond's room and Bond flips her onto the bed, Bond incorrectly identifies the gun as a Smith and Wesson .38 which would make it a model 10 or 15. It was actually a Model 19 .357 Magnum.
![Back to the Future picture](/images/titles/0-999/106_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: At the beginning of the movie Marty is turning on a huge guitar amplifier. The two switches for the filaments are misspelled. They are shown as "filiment." (00:03:25)
![The Great Escape picture](/images/titles/0-999/562_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: When Werner asks Hendley why, as an American, he fights alongside Britain, he mentions that the British burned down the U.S. capital in 1812. While it happened during the War of 1812, the burning of Washington actually occurred in 1814. (00:11:10)
![Eurotrip picture](/images/titles/4000-4999/4044_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: The name on the sign of the pub/private members club of the Manchester United fans is spelt incorrectly: It should read "The Feisty Goat" but Feisty is misspelled on the sign as "Fiesty" instead.
![Crocodile Dundee II picture](/images/titles/2000-2999/2383_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: When Mick arrives at walkabout hotel, Nugget introduces himself to Mick as if they have never met before. Yet in the first movie, Nugget is asking how Mick is getting on in New York. It may be just a case of over familiarity by Nugget but it doesn't make a lot of sense.
Suggested correction: It's quite possible that they haven't met, but Nugget's heard about Mick, e.g. from the people in the bar, stories, etc. Having no doubt heard so much about Mick, Nugget probably feels like he knows him, at least enough to ask how he's getting on.
I think it was just a scene to introduce the audience to Nugget. I'm pretty sure that if Nugget was a regular in that bar, then he must have known Mick.
![The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter picture](/images/titles/4000-4999/4534_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: The spelling of Koreander/Coriander's name varies between the opening credits (spelled with a C), the shop window (spelled with a K), the inner cover of the book (spelled with a K) and the book's text (spelled with a C).
![Le Poil de la Bête picture](/images/titles/8000-8999/8836_sm.jpg)

![Camp Nowhere picture](/images/titles/3000-3999/3896_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: The Matterass twins are playing a video game, and they argue about whether to destroy Milwaukee or Minneapolis. They decide on Milwaukee but destroy Hibbing Minnesota.
![Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure picture](/images/titles/0-999/165_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: In the movie they grab Genghis Khan in 1209 which would have been correct, he ruled Mongolia from 1206 to 1227. In the presentation at the end they say in 1269 he did this and that, that would have been Kublai Khan's reighn of terror in Mongolia.
Suggested correction: Bill and Ted have proven not to be that smart. Easy for them to get those things confused.
![Kingsman: The Secret Service picture](/images/titles/10000-10999/10920_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: When giving Eggsy a tour, Galahad tells him that Oxfords are any formal shoe with open lacing. This is incorrect as Oxfords have closed lacing.
![Moonraker picture](/images/titles/0-999/848_sm.jpg)

![Superman/Doomsday picture](/images/titles/9000-9999/9944_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: As Lex is studying the recording of when Superman's body vanishes, he says "A 19 second black out at 3:47 AM." But the clock on the video shows it goes from 3:47:05 when the blackout starts, to 3:47:26. The blackout was 21 seconds, not 19. (00:45:55)
![The Jackal picture](/images/titles/0-999/666_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: At the meeting of the MVD and FBI where they are discussing Terek's hiding place, she mentions that he's in the town of Porvoo and that it is 60 kilometers west Helsinki. Porvoo is actually 50 kilometers northeast of Helsinki. (00:12:45)
![Age of Heroes picture](/images/titles/9000-9999/9348_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: When the American hands over the wills to Ian Fleming he calls him Lieutenant Commander, but when Fleming turns up at the camp he has gold braid on his cap - only commanders and above wear gold braid. Also they kept calling the RAF guy Flight Sargent but he didn't have a crown above his stripes.
![Freddy Vs. Jason picture](/images/titles/3000-3999/3315_sm.jpg)
Character mistake: There was no chance of Will and Lori knowing what's happening with Mark in the house. Neither him nor anyone else called them. So what made them rush home with van, after they've been casually driving in their previous scene?
Suggested correction: The question was intended to demonstrate how far out-of-touch Werner was with United States history.
Charles Austin Miller
You misunderstand. Werner's question in and of itself is not the mistake; it's merely a point of contextual reference. The mistake is him giving the incorrect date of a historical event he claims to have read about; it's hard to believe that every book that he might have read on the topic are all wrong, so he must be remembering, and thus repeating it, incorrectly.
