Character mistake: When the minion tries to get out on the top of the small car, it faces forward, but two shots later, it is now facing the back.
Character mistake: In the original Transformers, the final battle takes place in a fictional city known as Mission City, which according to Lennox is 22 miles away from the Hoover Dam, putting it close to Las Vegas. However, when Sam is in his dorm room, it's stated that the battle was in LA.
Character mistake: Why is Electra using Windows 2000 (still in beta at the time) to survey her oil empire? (I think it's just after she's asked M to come and help her) You shouldn't use beta software for anything important....
Character mistake: When Sean and Hank are trying to get to the Nautilus, they swim right through a big school of jellyfish. Seems really unlikely that Sean, raised by a scientist and Hank, an ex Navy man would do this, considering how many species of jellyfish can give a sting ranging from agonizing to deadly. And, while they have a limited oxygen supply in this scene, and time is a factor, the scene shows there is room to swim under them. They actually pause in the middle of the school to grin at each other. There would have been sufficient time and oxygen to avoid the school.
Character mistake: Scarlett says that since McCullen is from Scotland, he speaks Celtic. Celtic is a group of languages, not a language unto itself (something a genius like Scarlett would most likely know); it would be like saying someone speaks Semitic or Germanic. McCullen would probably speak Scots or Scottish Gaelic, the official languages used in Scotland.
Character mistake: When they infiltrate the military facility, Steve and Tony are trying to blend in. Steve wears his hat the entire time he's indoors. He's a soldier, taking his hat off when he comes through the door would be second nature to him. Not removing it would make him stand out as someone who doesn't belong - Steve knows better than that.
Character mistake: When Carver is to go live to the World, his assistant is counting down 5, 4, 3, 2. She does not say 1 and 'Now', as they never do, in order for her voice not to be heard on the broadcast. But if you do the counting, Carver starts before she would have reached 'Now'. Consequently there would be a risk that Carver's first words were not heard on the live broadcast. That would be very unprofessional.
Character mistake: When Bond is jumping from the dam in the opening sequence, you see him 'clip in' twice, once attaching the rope to his feet, and once attaching the rope to the dam. He is using screw-gate carabiners, large clips that have a small bevel gate on them that secure them shut. Yet Bond doesn't screw them shut - all it takes is a simple flick of the fingers and they're done. This means that they're not as safe as they should be, and could potentially open - particularly when doing something as stressful as diving off a dam. You would have thought that as Bond's parents 'had the luxury of dying in a climbing accident' as Trevelyan puts it, he would take more care over basic safety procedures when using ropes and climbing equipment. Character mistake: Dr. Erskine says he lives in Queens at 73rd Street and Utopia Parkway. Actually, 73rd Street is well to the west of Utopia Parkway (both run north-south). Erskine must have meant 73rd Avenue, which does cross Utopia Parkway.
Character mistake: James Bond states that the man that fell in the liquid helium would raise the temperature. Since humans have a body temperature of only 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, falling into a tank of liquid helium at -456 degrees would bring his body down to the same temperature as the surrounding helium in no more than five seconds. Suggested correction: The human body is mostly water which has a high specific heat capacity, much higher than liquid helium, so the amount of heat absorbed by the helium in order to cool the body to near absolute zero would easily raise its temperature well above absolute zero.
Character mistake: In the scene where Carlisle returns with Alistair he asks Edward how many vampires showed up, Edward replies 18. At that point there were only 16. Vladimir and Stefan arrive a few scenes later and are part of the group assembled for battle that totals 18 of the witness vampires.
Character mistake: The bartender in El Dorado was John Mitchum - Robert Mitchum's real life brother. "Elmer" was the character name of the bartender, as mentioned twice in the first saloon shootout mid-way through the movie and in the movie credits under "Elmer, Jason's Bartender." Robert Mitchum mistakenly calls to the bartender, "freeze it right there, Johnny" (inadvertently using his brother's real name, "John, " as opposed to his character's name, "Elmer") in the final saloon shootout scene. Character mistake: When young Alan is talking young Sarah, he says that he found a board game at the factory. Alan didn't find the game at the factory. He found the game across from the factory at a construction site.
Suggested correction: The construction might very well be part of the factory, a new factory building for example.
The sign at the construction site said it was an "Executive Office Annex" that they were building.
Even though the sign said it was an Annex, construction was still being done outside of the main factory where Alan found the game. Not inside of the main factory itself.
Character mistake: Diana categorizes without a doubt Aquaman as "a mixed blood" Atlantean because Bruce tells her that he could breathe air. However Steppenwolf interrogated one of the guards from Atlantis on the ground, and he could breathe just fine.
Character mistake: Nikki lost her insulin kit and needs insulin. Her mother suggests getting her a fruit juice, something sweet. Fruit juice contains a large amount of sugar which raises blood sugar levels very quickly. Therefore, people with diabetes are usually best to avoid drinking fruit juice. Her suggestion is absurd.
Character mistake: At the confederate prison camp after they are captured a soldier comes up to the sergeant (Van Cleef) and informs him that the "Captain" wants to see him right away. In the next shot with Van Cleef where he is talking to the commanding officer you will see that he is not a captain but a major.
Character mistake: The mother is supposed to be American, but she speaks in her native Australian accent near the end when she says, "I don't think I can take anymore of this" upon finding out that Pita may be alive.
Character mistake: In the movie, Gregory Peck claims that he speaks German "perfectly." But in the scene where he uses the dead cliff guard's radio, he speaks with a noticeably thick - and highly un-German - accent. (00:57:22)
Character mistake: When Lucius holds his wife's corpse in the sea, a wave crashes against her and splashes her face. The actress can't help wincing.
Character mistake: Olson discovers a "microchip blocking the self-assessment program" and says, "it's a worm"! It is not. "Computer worm" is a type of malware that propagates over a computer network. What Olson discovers is an act of sabotage of malicious nature, but definitely not a worm. (00:25:39)
Suggested correction: Scarlett certainly took this into account when she suggested the words for Ripcord to speak. Scottish Gaelic is a Celtic language so Scarlett was still correct, she was just simplifying for expediency.
