The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: When Zelda puts the seed into the crack on the ground, the crack shortens between shots. (00:11:25)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: Zelda has an amateur magician grow a large plant for her to use as a sling shot. He is standing beside Link as it grows and then suddenly disappears between shots. There was not enough time for him to have walked or run away. (00:11:40)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: While the plant is growing, Zelda ties it to a pink palette-like thing. In one shot, it is very close to some steps and in the shadow of the castle. But moments later, it is much further from the steps and is in the light. (00:11:40)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: Zelda plants a seed and the amateur magician uses a growth spell on it. Link is standing to his right. Next shot of them, Link is on his left. Then back on his right a few shots later. (00:11:40)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Audio problem: After Ganon makes off with the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda plants a seed and has an amateur magician use a growth spell on it and make a sling shot. Link says "My kinda girl!" His mouth never moves at all while he says this. (00:11:40)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: Zelda and Link fall through a tree and land on the road after being slingshot. Both the shot of Link landing, and the shot of Zelda landing in his lap show leaves falling next to them and on the ground around them. When the shot cuts to Link laughing, all the leaves that fell vanish. (00:12:00)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: Zelda and Link sling shoot through the air to catch Ganon. They land in the road and Link's back is towards the side of the road as Zelda lands on him. Next shot, his back is going along the same direction as the road. They turned 90 degrees in an instant. (00:12:00)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Revealing mistake: After crashing on his skeleton-drawn throne, Ganon stands up and orders the remaining 3 skeletons to attack Link and Zelda. Watch his head as they pass by him. At two different times while they pass by, Ganon's head randomly jumps out of place and onto his shoulder for a frame or two, then back where it goes. (00:12:30)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: After Ganon is thrown from his skeleton drawn throne, he summons more of his skeleton minions through an underworld entrance cave that pops up from the ground in the middle of the road. Link hands Zelda the bone bow as it pops up and she looks back surprised at it. In this shot, the cave entrance is a perfect triangle shape, and there are no horn structures above the opening. Then it cuts to a closer view of the entrance as the Skeletons begin marching out. Now the underworld entrance has more curved shapes to it rather than strange lines making it triangle, and horn like structures appear above the opening. The rubble around the opening that came up from the road as it rose up also changes in shape. (00:12:35)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: When surrounded by skeletons, Link and Zelda get back to back and Link straps his belt around them. In the first shot showing the skeletons advancing on them, neither Link nor Zelda is directly facing any of the enemies. Link is facing down on the screen towards some trees, and Zelda is facing up and to the left, towards some trees. The shot cuts to Ganon screaming "Get them!" and then cuts back to the skeletons, still in the same spot in their advance on the heroes, with no time to give them to move while strapped together. Now suddenly Link is facing directly at the skeletons towards the top right, and Zelda is directly at the ones on the bottom left. (00:12:50)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: When Link and Zelda are battling the skeletons, each time a skeleton is blasted away, it dissolves into itself leaving a white silhouette for a split second before vanishing, like it’s vaporized. It does this for each and every one, except one. During the fight, Link blocks two skeleton attacks at the same time and flings them up into the air, and then blasts them with sword lasers. They are side by side in the air, and the first one is blasted and dissolves away the same way, but the second one, when hit with the laser, just instantly vanishes. No dissolve or slow fade. Just poof and gone, which is inconsistent with anything else we saw previously or after this. (00:12:55)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Other mistake: When Link and Zelda fight Ganon and the skeletons, 3 skeletons grab Zelda. Ganon throws a bomb at Link and Zelda. Link lifts Zelda and the skeletons are hit by the bomb. It explodes but only hurts them as they vanish, not fazing Zelda or Link what so ever despite being right above them. But a little bit later, Link bats a bomb at Ganon that is exactly the same as the previous bomb. This one explodes huge and destroys a cave. Two of the same bomb, no consistency of power at all. (00:13:20)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Revealing mistake: Link blocks a bomb thrown at him into the air. As it is coming back down, the motion of it was lazily animated. The bomb has spikes on it, and to indicate the one pointed directly at the camera, it is shown with a very slight point towards the top of the screen so it doesn't look like just a gray dot. But the bomb is spinning, and so the point goes around with it, despite being directly at the camera and looks like a clock hand. (00:13:50)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: Link smacks the bomb back at Ganon and it follows him into the cave. As it is going towards the cave, the bomb is spinning. But when the shot changes to Ganon running through the door of the cave and the bomb follows him, it has stopped spinning. (00:14:00)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: After Ganon is blown up inside the secret entrance, the Triforce of Wisdom bounces out and lands next to Link and Zelda who are strapped together with his belt. There is no visible buckle at this time. Shot changes to a closer view on the same side and the buckle instantly appears. (00:14:15)
The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: Link and Zelda try to kiss after they defeat Ganon. Their faces get very close together when Spryte interrupts them. They both look at Spyte while their faces are close together. Next shot from a little distance, and suddenly Link and Zelda's faces are further apart. (00:14:45)
Cold Spells - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: The first shot showing Link and Zelda, they are standing in front of some doorways. It is bright out and you can see in the doorways no problem as bright as day. The shot changes to Link handing Zelda a flower and the doorway behind her is now pitch black. The arched stones around the door are also much smaller, and the door is shorter too. (00:15:40)
Cold Spells - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: The establishing shot of Link and Zelda shows a doorway behind them. You can see the floor stretch back a ways but there is nothing visible on it. A few shots later as Zelda is backing into the room, you can now see a nearby table with chairs, as well as a mop right on the doorway threshold that was not there a moment before. (00:15:50)
Cold Spells - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: The distance between Link and the door becomes much shorter from when Zelda tosses him the mop, and when he begins walking inside. He is a good length away at first, but shot changes to him walking and he takes only 3 small steps to enter. He also comes through the middle door when he was just in front of the door on the left. (00:16:00)
Cold Spells - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: As Zelda backs up into the castle and kicks the mop to Link, there is a red table and chairs behind her. This shot shows the chairs are small, and have crooked legs. But when Link walks in a few moments later, the chairs and table are larger, and the legs are now straight. (00:16:15)
Chosen answer: Because they were technically the same show. The 65 episodes of Super Mario Brothers Super Show contained 52 episodes of Super Mario and 13 episodes of The Legend of Zelda.
