The Legend of Zelda

Show generally

Audio problem: In the opening title sequence towards the end, Link says "For you, Princess, anything." After he says this, he instantly opens his mouth again in a continued talking motion. But he is not saying anything. In a cartoon such as this, especially from this era, they wouldn't go through the trouble of animating just a breath after a speaking line, or even just a smile like that. It is extra animation for speaking that is not happening. (00:00:25)

The Ringer - S1-E1

Audio problem: After Ganon makes off with the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda plants a seed and has an amateur magician use a growth spell on it and make a sling shot. Link says "My kinda girl!" His mouth never moves at all while he says this. (00:11:40)

Cold Spells - S1-E2

Audio problem: When Ganon gets to the Triforce of Wisdom and is about to take it, he says "The Triforce is mine!". He then says "When combined with my own Triforce..." As he begins saying the second part, his mouth stops moving for a second. (00:23:20)

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Audio problem: After Zelda hears the scream of distress, she looks over and says "And maybe an adventure. Link will be sorry he missed out." Between sentences, it cuts from a close up to a wider shot showing her on the horse. Her mouth has extra movement before she says the word Link, like she's saying another word but with no sound to it. (00:01:05)

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Audio problem: As the three headed dragon begins speaking to the damsel, the mouth movements are jerky, and half the time don't match up with the words. There are even several added mouth movements when he's not talking that look like he still is. (00:01:30)

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Audio problem: When Link blasts open the door with his sword, you hear him shoot 3 times. Yet 4 sword lasers come through the door, and they don’t match up with the timing of the sounds of the blasts. (00:12:20)

Sing for the Unicorn - S1-E5

Audio problem: Right in the beginning, King Harkinian is walking about at night on the wall of his castle. He comments about the night air and how there is nothing like a good meal. During the last half of that, the shot changes to a side view as he walks to the edge and stops. His lips are not moving until he stops and you can see them move when he says the word Meal. Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: When the Witch of Walls grabs frog Link's tongue to inspect it, the first shot shows the hole in the wall from where she came out has vanished, then it's back again in the next shot. In the same two shots, her hands change from being right on top of his hand and left on bottom, to left on top and right on the bottom of Link's tongue. (00:10:25)

Trivia: In almost every other incarnation of the Legend of Zelda, Link is left handed using his sword in that one, (except the Wii version of Twilight Princes where everything is reversed). But in this TV show, he is right handed.
