Continuity mistake: When Johnny is being examined by Dr. Early and Dr. Morton, Roy is in the treatment room with them, and he's not wearing a watch, but when Roy steps into the hallway and speaks to Chet he's suddenly wearing a watch.
Continuity mistake: While Charlie is finishing up on the squad's engine, Captain Stanley hands Johnny the address in the canyon that has overgrown weeds, and when Johnny packs up the toolbox, Charlie holds out the roll of electrical tape and the combination wrench, with its open-end up. However, in the next shot the only thing Charlie holds out is the wrench, but with its box-end up.
Continuity mistake: When Frankie lands the Cessna, the red seatbelt is in place behind him. Continuity mistake: In nearly every episode, the dark blue jackets that Gage and DeSoto wear suddenly appear and/or vanish and then reappear, numerous times, while en route in their squad, or when they pull into the stationhouse and Rampart. Continuity mistake: At the ferris wheel, when the boy starts to climb down to help the man in the lower seat, in the closeup he steps on the two yellow, fluorescent tube light bulbs causing the bulbs to plummet and shatter on the ground below. The problem is that those two fluorescent bulbs did not even exist in the prior wide shots, that lamp socket space was empty.

Continuity mistake: When getting the climbers off the mountain, the Ford letters on the tailgate are muddy and blanked out, but are not in the scenes where they're transporting the climbers in the pickup bed.
Continuity mistake: Just before the opening credits both Engine 51 and Squad 51 are inside the station. The alarm goes off and when Squad 51 leaves the station Engine 51 has vanished.
