Continuity mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to the 'man trapped between two buildings', Roy is not wearing a watch when he and John head out on the lines between the buildings and also when they get back on the roof, but during the actual rescue while on the lines, both stunt guys are wearing watches on their wrists.

Continuity mistake: At the station, after Johnny has searched through a bunch of papers for the receipt for $8.42, when he gathers them up a yellow paper falls to the floor at his feet, just before Roy suggests putting them in alphabetical order. Continuity mistake: When Johnny and Roy walk into Councilman Wilby's home, Wilby's wearing a buttoned up shirt and tie, and they place the O2 tank near his feet, but in Wilby's first three closeups the O2 tank is already behind the couch by his head and his shirt is unbuttoned with no tie, but in the wide shots Roy and Johnny haven't even made those changes yet.

Continuity mistake: During the warehouse fire, Johnny removes his turnout when Captain Stanley calls for the ambulance, then when the ambulance arrives John's wearing the turnout and one burn victim has the sheet over him, but then the turnout and sheet vanish, and as the ambulance attendants bring the stretcher, Johnny places the sheet on the victim, and in the overhead shot as Cap is told about Willy, Johnny's wearing his turnout again. The Biophone also keeps jumping from being beside Squad 51 to being between the victims.
Continuity mistake: When Johnny is doing overtime with Engine 8, dispatch sends the two guys of Squad 8 on an unknown type rescue and they leave Station 8, but when Johnny and Captain Stone walk back into the kitchen, Squad 8 is still parked in the apparatus bay.
Continuity mistake: During the fire at the chemical plant, the distinctively marked SCBA tanks that Captain Stanley, Johnny and Roy are wearing, when they're searching for the missing man, change when they're inside and then finally exit. Continuity mistake: When Kent (Bobby Sherman) is ready to leave Station 51, the guys are about to sit down to dinner and the table is full of food, plates, cups, utensils, etc, but when the tones drop for the refinery fire and everyone rushes into the apparatus bay, the table is seen behind them and it's bare. Also, the order in which the guys run out of the kitchen is completely different, depending on the angle of the shot.
Continuity mistake: When Dixie has her hand caught in the coffee dispensing machine, Roy gets it free, and when she pulls her hand out all of her nails on that hand are very short in the closeup, but in following shots her nails are quite long, as usual.

Continuity mistake: When the victims are loaded onto the second ambulance with Roy, after the original ambulance was hit by the car, we can see the license plate, Z99977, as Johnny closes the back doors. Then while en route to Rampart, the ambulance's make/model changes with plate, Z99953, then the make/model changes yet again, but still has the same plate, Z99953.
