Continuity mistake: When Johnny and Roy are in the basket with the man who was electrocuted by a power line, they are atop three more power lines. Chet and Mike cut the two outer lines and only the center line remains, but in the closeup of the basket there are still three power lines under the basket.
Continuity mistake: After Dr. Early fixes the squad's engine problem, while Roy is driving we see a two-way radio mounted at the top of the dashboard, just past the steering wheel. When the dispatcher calls on Squad 51 to respond, there's a closeup of the Motorola two-way radio/Interceptor units which are mounted under the dash (near gas pedal), and Johnny lifts this mic, but then we see that he's speaking on the mic from the top of the dash. Additionally, in those two closeups of the two-way radio, we can see the gas pedal, but Roy's foot is nowhere to be seen, even though the squad has been moving all along.

Continuity mistake: When Roy and Johnny are climbing the aerial ladder to get to the boy on the ledge, in the overhead long shot we see down below that the Biophone and drug box are placed on the ground, right beside 85's captain. Then later, after the boy tries to jump, the captain instructs one of his men to go get the paramedics' Biophone and drug box, even though we saw them already placed there awhile ago.
Continuity mistake: After rescuing the young boy from the structure fire, when Roy and Johnny are stopped by a reporter with a camera crew and asked questions, the boy is standing behind Roy, then between shots the boy is standing in front of Roy.
Continuity mistake: At the structure fire with the trapped young boy, when Johnny and Roy enter the building Johnny's SCBA tank is all yellow - no stickers, and Roy's tank has a white sticker and a red sticker, but in the following shots looking for the boy until they exit the building, their tanks keep on changing.
Continuity mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to the man trapped at the construction site, there are closeups of the shaky concrete wall that may collapse before they shore it up with 4x4 support beams, but in following closeups of the same angle those support beams they added have vanished, then they reappear.
Continuity mistake: When Engine 51 rolls up to the Teal house and quickly enter, we can see the flames inside through the living room window - no shade blocks the view, but in the next shot from the living room, the shade is now pulled halfway down the window.
Continuity mistake: When Roy and Johnny are tending to the actor with the possible heart attack, Brackett asks for an EKG strip, so Roy holds out his right hand to give Johnny the cable, but in the next shot Roy's holding out his left hand with the cable.

Then, when the boy is lying on the grass, Johnny's in his uniform shoes, though Roy is still in those water-type shoes.

Continuity mistake: When the new supply nurse gives Roy the box of supplies, in his right hand Roy holds the receipt and supply box, and in his left hand is the handie-talkie, but in the closeup Roy holds the supply box with his left hand and a bag of saline in his right hand.
Continuity mistake: When Charlie asks Dave how Sue is, Charlie has an oxygen mask on with the elastic around his head, but after Dave tells Charlie that Sue's fine and that Johnny's got her on O2, in the wideshot as Dave walks away the oxygen mask has vanished from around his head.
Continuity mistake: When Johnny tells Sue that Charlie's injury means paid vacation, Johnny is wearing his turnout gear and the coat has long sleeves, but in the closeup when he places the oxygen mask on Sue's face, the arms we see are bare.
Continuity mistake: When Johnny and Roy are in the staff lounge waiting for Dr. Morton, Johnny's holding the newspaper's sports page, and in the page's close-up, there is a large picture of Brice centered between two columns of articles. However, when Johnny's talking to Roy and Dr. Morton, that page is entirely different even though he hasn't turned the page.
