Continuity mistake: After the Doctor steps through the hologram of his past selves and introduces himself to the Atraxi, in a wide shot, there's a red jacket lying on the ground to the left of Rory. In a close-up of Amy and Rory immediately following, the jacket has suddenly leaped into Rory's arms, to join the other clothes he's holding. When the Atraxi flies away, the red jacket is back on the ground again. (00:53:55)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the hospital roof scene, as the Atraxi are flying away, the Doctor is seen reacting to the TARDIS key in his jacket pocket heating up twice. (00:54:20)
Continuity mistake: After the Doctor brings Amy onto the TARDIS, the material of the tweed jacket he's wearing is entirely different in the close-ups of the Doctor's hands, as he's fiddling with the gears on the panel. (00:59:45)
Deliberate mistake: The young Amelia Pond (played by Caitlin Blackwood) has brown eyes, however her older self (played by Karen Gillan) has green eyes.
Continuity mistake: Generally, it seems like it's cloudy on a rooftop, or Atraxi ship is making a shadow on it, but for one moment, after Doctor comes through the hologram, we can see bright sun and a shadow of construction behind the camera.
Continuity mistake: As Amy first enters the TARDIS, the Doctor comes up from her left, says his line, and leaves from her left. When the angle changes, he passes in front of her from her right.
Continuity mistake: In the scene at the beginning with the boy on the Vator being sent "below", the Smiler in the lift is shown with its head turned to its frowning face shortly before it is shown changing its expression. (00:02:23)
Continuity mistake: When Amy is floating in space outside the TARDIS, her hair is down around her shoulders in the shots of her from above, but floating around her head in the close-ups of her face. (00:03:08)
Continuity mistake: When the Doctor and Amy are sitting and watching Mandy and Amy is asking what's so important about one girl crying, the Doctor has his hands clasped just below his chin, only for them to jump in front of his mouth in the next shot. (00:08:23)
Other mistake: When Amy's age is given as 1306, the computer screen reads 1308 instead. (00:15:50)
Continuity mistake: When Liz 10 backs away in pain before asking the Doctor to stop making the Star Whale's screams audible, she raises both her hands in the wide shot, but only has her left hand up in the following close-up. (00:29:31)
Continuity mistake: When the Doctor first meets Liz 10, during their conversation, her hood is pulled completely over her hair in shots facing her, but some of her hair is sticking past her hood in shots facing the Doctor.
Revealing mistake: When the TARDIS dematerialises and causes wind to blow against Churchill and Amy, their clothes are affected - but the cigar smoke in the air is unaffected, and actually drifts towards the vanishing TARDIS. (00:14:25)
Continuity mistake: When the Doctor is shown talking to the Daleks on their spaceship, he is standing several metres away. But the people viewing him from Earth see him standing right in front of them. (00:23:33)
Continuity mistake: When Amy reassures the Doctor that he stopped the bomb, he goes from leaning on a nearby pillar with his arm completely straight to his arm bent. And then his hand changes position a couple more times. (00:34:32)
Continuity mistake: When Churchill says "KBO" before the Doctor and Amy leave, the cigar he was smoking and just lit is suddenly missing. (00:37:09)
The Time of Angels (1) - S5-E4
Continuity mistake: When the Doctor and Amy are in the museum looking at the Home Box, after they steal it, they run to and enter the TARDIS, which is parked at the end of the hall by the last glass case. However, in the first shots of them in the museum, the camera was pointed directly at that spot, and the TARDIS wasn't there. (00:01:30 - 00:02:00)
The Time of Angels (1) - S5-E4
Continuity mistake: When the Doctor leans on the glass case with the home box, he clasps his hands together. In the next, wide, shot, his hands are separated and in loose fists. (00:01:48)
The Time of Angels (1) - S5-E4
Continuity mistake: When Alistair confronts River, the two guards with him stop and point their guns at her as he walks forward, changing position between the wide shot and the following close-up of Alistair. (00:03:05)
The Time of Angels (1) - S5-E4
Continuity mistake: River's position when she turns away from the door changes between the security playback the Doctor and Amy are watching and the footage shot actually on the ship. (00:03:30)
Chosen answer: The Master knows that deep down, he deserves death for the crimes that he's committed throughout his life, and since he regards The Doctor as his arch-foe, he expects it to be at his hands. The fact that The Doctor is still willing to forgive him for all of his crimes hurts him more deeply than death would.
