Factual error: When introducing himself to the Toclafane, President Winters refers to himself as "President-elect of the United States of America." President-elect is the title given to the victor of an American presidential election who has not yet been sworn in, between early November and January 20. This was a mistake on Russell T Davies' part, as he was under the impression it was a longer, formal title for the American president. (00:37:40)

Factual error: The army shoot at Martha's car and you can see sparks where the bullets bounce off her windscreen. But, at that close range, one of those things can go through a brick! I know you're supposed to allow a bit of disbelief, but this is taking it too far.

Continuity mistake: When the Master stands up on the Valiant to announce that he is the Toclafane's "Master", President Winters is visible in the background, only the Toclafane aren't there. In the next shot, they return, buzzing around Winters' head.
Suggested correction: This seems to be caused by angles - the Toclafane are floating fairly high up, around the level of Winters' shoulders and above, but the Master is lower down. Hence, why they're not visible in the shot.

Factual error: When they are running over the bridge, supposedly in London, you can see the Heddlu sign on the police station (Heddlu is Welsh for police). You can also see a Cardiff bus at the bus stop underneath.

Continuity mistake: In the conference room, Saxon (The Master) puts on a gas mask that has an emblem mounted above the hose. After replying to the question, he moves the mask, and the emblem is on the bottom of the mask.

Continuity mistake: When the Master says that the Doctor sealed the rift at the Medusa Cascade single-handed, in a wide shot, his right hand is resting on the edge of the table he's sitting on. The scene cuts to a close-up, and then back to a wide shot, where the Master's right hand is now in his lap. (00:10:30)

Deliberate mistake: The Master uses his laser screwdriver to suspend the Doctor's ability to regenerate. While he is in fast motion, in a close-up you can briefly see Lucy's arms in fast motion as well. (00:12:20)

Factual error: The opening shot of the episode reuses the zoom-in from orbit originally used in "Rose." The North Pole is sunlit, as it would be at the height of summer. "The Runaway Bride" takes place on Christmas Eve, four days after the Northern Hemisphere's Winter Solstice, when the Pole would be facing away from the Sun, in darkness. In fact, this was the second Christmas special in a row to make this mistake, after "The Christmas Invasion." (00:00:05)
Continuity mistake: The episode repeats the closing scene of "Doomsday", when Donna unexpectedly appears in the TARDIS. However, several details are different. One, the console room is more brightly lit than in the previous episode. Two, the shirt belonging to Rose that Donna finds draped over a railing was not present. Three, the Doctor's coat (draped over a ceiling support) has shifted in place, despite not being touched. (00:01:15)
