His arm was badly damaged in the incident before the swan hatch was built and he should.have had a prosthetic arm when the pearl video was made.
Continuity mistake: When they are approaching the plane, Sawyer is in the front and it appears as if Sayid grabs Claire's hand. In the next shot Sawyer is next to Sayid and Claire. (00:15:55)
Factual error: Jack's scar on his left lower abdomen is reportedly from appendicitis. The appendix is on the right lower abdomen.

Visible crew/equipment: When Michael is searching for Vincent, he stops in the jungle and the camera pans round him. In one shot, you can make out a light screen and camera. Slo-mo helps but is not essential. (00:24:10)

Continuity mistake: When Mike and Sawyer climb onto the pontoon (after Mike shoots the shark) there is a long wooden beam protruding to the left of the pontoon. In the next shot (morning, where Mike is crying) the beam protrudes the other way. (00:35:00)
Factual error: The police officer introduces himself to Claire as "Officer" Barnes. In Australia, ordinary police officers hold the rank of Constable, not Officer. (00:06:10)

Continuity mistake: When Kate is chucked a beer by Tom, there is a load of froth on the can which disappears instantly. (00:22:05)
Chosen answer: None of the main characters died in the plane crash. Many died on the island after the crash (Jack, Charlie, Sun, Jin, Daniel, Juliet, others), some lived on the island for an apparently long time after the crash (Hurley, Ben, Bernard, Rose) but some lived lives off the island after the crash (Sawyer, Kate, Claire, Miles, Aplert, and Lapidus). Remember that Christian tells Jack that "time has no meaning here," (in Purgatory). When everyone meets at the church, they are at the end of their lives however long that may have been and will now "move on" together. They look like they did on the island because that is the way they best remember each other.
