Confidence Man - S1-E8

Factual error: In the episode where Shannon is having asthma attacks, Michael get some eucalyptus plants for Sun, but the plants he gives her aren't eucalyptus.

Confidence Man - S1-E8

Revealing mistake: After Sayid stabs Sawyer, in the wide shot when Jack pushes Sayid away, as Sawyer lies with his right arm outstretched the knife is nowhere to be seen. In the next close-up, the large, long-handled knife is protruding from Sawyer's upper arm at about a 90ยบ angle. Given the angle and position of the knife, it should have been seen in the previous shot. (00:30:20)

Confidence Man - S1-E8

Confidence Man - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: When Sayid stabs Sawyer, in the close-up there are considerable blood stains on Sayid's white shirt, yet when Jack pushes Sayid off Sawyer all the blood has vanished. This continues to happen in all the following shots, when Jack tells Sayid to get his bag, and the amount and pattern of blood also significantly changes. (00:30:15)

Confidence Man - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: After Sawyer admits to Kate that he doesn't have the inhalers, Sayid and he get into a tussle. In the first shot, the back of Sayid's white shirt is fairly clean as he is standing, but in the next wider shot the back is completely filthy - before he and Sawyer ever even hit the ground. Confidence Man - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: Just after Sayid has woken Sawyer up by throwing water in his face, there is a shot of Sayid from behind the tree Sawyer is tied to, and you can see a bit of Sawyer's hair. However, it is hardly wet, if at all, and when the camera cuts back to Sawyer his hair is drenched again. (00:22:20)

Confidence Man - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: At the start of the episode, Sawyer tells Jess he has $140,000. Later, when Sawyer is talking to his boss in the bar while playing pool, his boss says that he had $160,000.

Suggested correction: And Sawyer is a conman who tells people what they want to hear. Saying he's got an extra 20k is no big deal to someone like Sawyer who is conning people out of 150k+.

Confidence Man - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: Kate says she looked at the envelope of the letter - the camera shows a closeup of the envelope which on the right hand side of the crest has no creases and just 1 barely visible fold. When Sawyer goes to snatch it back, the envelope is already creased significantly. (00:33:55 - 00:35:35)

Confidence Man - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: When Sawyer is on the floor after being stabbed, his hair is lying to the left side of his head. However in a couple of shots, it's on the right side of his head, then back to his left. This could not be caused by him moving around slightly as the hair is always in the same position otherwise. The Glass Ballerina - S3-E2

Benjamin Linus: Your flight crashed on September 22,2004. Today is November 29th. That means you've been on this island for sixty-nine days. And yes, we do have contact with the outside world, Jack. That's how we know that during those sixty-nine days, your fellow Americans re-elected George W. Bush, Christopher Reeve has passed away, Boston Red Sox won the World Series.
[Jack begins to laugh.]
Benjamin Linus: What?
Jack Shepard: [Still laughing.] If you wanted me to believe that, you probably should have picked somebody else besides the Red Sox.
Bejmain Linus: No, they were down 3-0 against the Yankees in the Championship Series and then won eight straight.
Jack Shepard: [Skeptically.] Sure, sure. Of course they did.
[Ben turns on a VCR.]
Joe Buck: Back to Foulke... Red Sox fans have longed to hear it! The Boston Red Sox are world champions! A clean sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Red Sox celebrate in the middle of the diamond here at Busch Stadium.

The End (2) - S6-E18

Question: I recently submitted a question about whether everyone died on the plane or on the island. The answer I got was unsatisfactory. The answer was they did not all die in the plane crash but on the island where the events in the show really did happen. If this is the case, everyone in purgatory at the end makes no sense. If they all died on the island, then where were other characters like Michael, Ecko, etc. Also how did Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Ben, etc. end up dead and in purgatory at the end of the series? Last we saw them they were still alive on the island. Are we to assume that everyone died at the end of last season when the bomb went off? I need more info here.

Chosen answer: None of the main characters died in the plane crash. Many died on the island after the crash (Jack, Charlie, Sun, Jin, Daniel, Juliet, others), some lived on the island for an apparently long time after the crash (Hurley, Ben, Bernard, Rose) but some lived lives off the island after the crash (Sawyer, Kate, Claire, Miles, Aplert, and Lapidus). Remember that Christian tells Jack that "time has no meaning here," (in Purgatory). When everyone meets at the church, they are at the end of their lives however long that may have been and will now "move on" together. They look like they did on the island because that is the way they best remember each other.

Guy

That has to be the clearest explanation of the ending I've ever read.
