Out With Dad - S7-E15

Continuity mistake: Marty is on the couch talking to Edward about how he came out, and in several shots his hands are laced together on his stomach. In the succeeding shots, with no time to change, his arms are folded up on his chest.

The Late Dr. Crane - S7-E8

Continuity mistake: Frasier is in the hospital waiting room and Phil (the guy who later pretends he is Frasier) is reading a newspaper - he folds it up before talking to Frasier but in the next shot, from another angle, we see him folding it up again.

Three Dates and a Breakup (2) - S4-E20

Continuity mistake: Frasier's third date, Leslie, shows up at his apartment wearing a long off-white coat. He hangs it up beside the fireplace; for the rest of the scene we sometimes see the coat hanging with the left sleeve straight and sometimes with the left sleeve all crinkled up.

Shutout in Seattle (2) - S6-E24

Continuity mistake: Niles is trying to break up with Kit the waitress; they are in Cafe Nervosa and she is holding a tray. Sometimes the tray has a blue and white checked dishcloth on it, but in some shots it is not there.

The Ann Who Came to Dinner - S11-E13

Continuity mistake: Maris is hiding in a wooden box so she will be shipped out of the country. Marta, her housekeeper, has a protein shake for her, and puts the straw through a hole in the box. Maris indicates that she's drunk too much and Marta goes to put the straw back in the hole so she can regurgitate some - but just before that happens we see a stream of the liquid come out of the hole and dribble down the box. In the next shot the straw goes into the hole and the box is all clean and dry again.

The New Friend - S8-E7

Continuity mistake: While Marty is sitting with Eddie on his lap and talking to Niles, the dog's blue kennel tag goes from above Marty's hand to under Eddie's chin from one shot to the next.

The Late Dr. Crane - S7-E8

Continuity mistake: Niles has just met Mel in her office, and she is wearing a white coat - she is brushing off her sleeve in one shot, and then unbuttoning the coat in the next, without enough time to have switched that quickly.

Moon Dance - S3-E13

Continuity mistake: Early on in the show, Martin is trying to get Eddie to shake a towel off his head while Daphne stands behind the dog, folding laundry. In one shot she is standing with the folded towel over her arm; in the next shot she is folding it again. When she goes to the door, there is something red on top of the laundry basket, but when she returns the towel is back in the laundry basket (it's not the towel Marty put on Eddie's head: that's sitting on the coffee table).

To Thine Old Self Be True - S7-E20

Continuity mistake: Niles comes into Cafe Nervosa holding a newspaper and begins to talk to Frasier and Roz. As he says "mere words cannot", the shot changes and the next shot shows the newspaper has flipped over to the other side in his hand. He didn't have time to do this naturally.

The Focus Group - S3-E23

Continuity mistake: When Manu pulls down the metal front over his kiosk, Frasier has his umbrella in his right hand. By the time Manu pulls it all the way down and catches his hand under it, Frasier's umbrella has shifted to his left hand, even though he never transferred it.

A Word to the Wiseguy - S3-E15

Character mistake: In the scene where Jerome Belasco turns up unannounced at Frasier's apartment, Daphne tells him she's psychic and guesses that he's an osteopath. After Jerome leaves, Daphne says she thought he seemed very nice. Frasier turns to her and says, "This from the psychic who said he was a chiropractor."

Semi-Decent Proposal - S8-E21

Continuity mistake: In the show from Series 7, "Big Crane on Campus", the Jean Smart character is introduced as Lorna Lenley - ex-prom queen from his high school with a volatile personality who has a brief relationship with Frasier. In Episode 21, series 8, she comes back as the same character - ex-prom queen, had a fling with Frasier, etc. - but now her name is Lana. She was billed as Lorna in the series 7 show and as Lana in the series 8 show. The names may be similar but are definitely different names.

Frasier: Roger, at Cornell University they have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the Tunneling Electron Microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building blocks of our universe. Roger, if I were using that microscope right now, I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in your problem.

Show generally

Question: There's probably an obvious answer to this but is there any actual in-show significance to the 'Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs' song heard at the end of every episode? I ask mainly because I remembered there was one show in particular where Frasier unintentionally scars Lilith emotionally and pretty much cements the end of their relationship over a misunderstanding about scrambled eggs. Were there any similar conflicts over a tossed salad?

Answer: In the last episode, they explained that Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs is a metaphor for the mixed-up people to whom Frasier dispenses his radio psychiatric advice.
