Continuity mistake: Early on in the show, Roz and Frasier are talking in her booth at KCAL. At one point she picks up a pencil and holds it for a couple of shots, but soon it has disappeared with no movement to put it down.
To Thine Old Self Be True - S7-E20
Continuity mistake: Frasier and Roz are in Cafe Nervosa and Roz is looking at a newspaper while Frasier talks about giving Donny a bachelor party. Roz puts the paper in her lap, but in the next shot over her shoulder we can see that she is still holding the paper up.
Continuity mistake: Marty is on the couch talking to Edward about how he came out, and in several shots his hands are laced together on his stomach. In the succeeding shots, with no time to change, his arms are folded up on his chest.
Continuity mistake: Frasier is in the hospital waiting room and Phil (the guy who later pretends he is Frasier) is reading a newspaper - he folds it up before talking to Frasier but in the next shot, from another angle, we see him folding it up again.
Three Dates and a Breakup (2) - S4-E20
Continuity mistake: Frasier's third date, Leslie, shows up at his apartment wearing a long off-white coat. He hangs it up beside the fireplace; for the rest of the scene we sometimes see the coat hanging with the left sleeve straight and sometimes with the left sleeve all crinkled up.
Shutout in Seattle (2) - S6-E24
Continuity mistake: Niles is trying to break up with Kit the waitress; they are in Cafe Nervosa and she is holding a tray. Sometimes the tray has a blue and white checked dishcloth on it, but in some shots it is not there.
Three Dates and a Breakup (1) - S4-E19
Continuity mistake: At Cafe Nervosa, while Roz is praying her old school mate won't recognize her, there is a crumpled up red napkin on the table. When he comes over to talk to her, it has magically disappeared.
The Ann Who Came to Dinner - S11-E13
Continuity mistake: Maris is hiding in a wooden box so she will be shipped out of the country. Marta, her housekeeper, has a protein shake for her, and puts the straw through a hole in the box. Maris indicates that she's drunk too much and Marta goes to put the straw back in the hole so she can regurgitate some - but just before that happens we see a stream of the liquid come out of the hole and dribble down the box. In the next shot the straw goes into the hole and the box is all clean and dry again.
Continuity mistake: While Marty is sitting with Eddie on his lap and talking to Niles, the dog's blue kennel tag goes from above Marty's hand to under Eddie's chin from one shot to the next.
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the show, when Frasier and Niles are having drinks, in a close shot of Frasier we see Niles' hand and drink come up to chin level but in the next shot his hand is still at waist level.
Continuity mistake: Niles has just met Mel in her office, and she is wearing a white coat - she is brushing off her sleeve in one shot, and then unbuttoning the coat in the next, without enough time to have switched that quickly.
Moon Dance - S3-E13
Continuity mistake: Early on in the show, Martin is trying to get Eddie to shake a towel off his head while Daphne stands behind the dog, folding laundry. In one shot she is standing with the folded towel over her arm; in the next shot she is folding it again. When she goes to the door, there is something red on top of the laundry basket, but when she returns the towel is back in the laundry basket (it's not the towel Marty put on Eddie's head: that's sitting on the coffee table).
To Thine Old Self Be True - S7-E20
Continuity mistake: Niles comes into Cafe Nervosa holding a newspaper and begins to talk to Frasier and Roz. As he says "mere words cannot", the shot changes and the next shot shows the newspaper has flipped over to the other side in his hand. He didn't have time to do this naturally.
Continuity mistake: When Manu pulls down the metal front over his kiosk, Frasier has his umbrella in his right hand. By the time Manu pulls it all the way down and catches his hand under it, Frasier's umbrella has shifted to his left hand, even though he never transferred it.
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning of the show, Daphne comes home from shopping holding a bag of groceries with the leafy tops of vegetables facing out. Frederick goes to help her and suddenly the leafy tops are facing inwards, without Daphne having time to move the bag.
Morning Becomes Entertainment - S7-E19
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the show, Frasier and Daphne are talking in Cafe Nervosa and behind them there is an extra at the counter. In some shots he is sitting there doing nothing, and in others he is eating a muffin.
When a Man Loves Two Women - S6-E21
Continuity mistake: When Frasier and Niles are in the cafe, Niles says "So what was Fay doing at your apartment last night?" When he says this, you can see he has just started to stir his coffee with a spoon. The shot then changes and the spoon has vanished.
A Word to the Wiseguy - S3-E15
Character mistake: In the scene where Jerome Belasco turns up unannounced at Frasier's apartment, Daphne tells him she's psychic and guesses that he's an osteopath. After Jerome leaves, Daphne says she thought he seemed very nice. Frasier turns to her and says, "This from the psychic who said he was a chiropractor."
Continuity mistake: In the show from Series 7, "Big Crane on Campus", the Jean Smart character is introduced as Lorna Lenley - ex-prom queen from his high school with a volatile personality who has a brief relationship with Frasier. In Episode 21, series 8, she comes back as the same character - ex-prom queen, had a fling with Frasier, etc. - but now her name is Lana. She was billed as Lorna in the series 7 show and as Lana in the series 8 show. The names may be similar but are definitely different names.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the show, when Bulldog throws a cup of coffee in the direction of teh armed man, the cup rolls to the floor, but when the shot shows Bulldog getting up from the floor, the cup is lying on the edge of the counter.
Answer: In the last episode, they explained that Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs is a metaphor for the mixed-up people to whom Frasier dispenses his radio psychiatric advice.
