Other mistake: The same play-by-play commentator covers both the Nankatsu and the Meika matches, happening simultaneously in two different areas of Japan (and with no television coverage...of course, who does live commentary on elementary school matches anyway?).

Other mistake: Morisaki is the substitute keeper, but he has the number 1 jersey (See next episode for an explanation about this part being prolly a mere continuity error). He also did not appear in the tryouts or the previous matches. He is wearing the Nankatsu Elementary school jersey but it's supposed to be a different character from that keeper - incidentally, in the match against Shuutetsu that keeper did at least a great save, better than anything Morisaki is able to do in these early episodes.
Continuity mistake: The scoreboard at the beginning of the episode is different from the previous; Nankatsu is on the top row, it was the bottom row in 1-12. (00:02:40)
Continuity mistake: As the Nankatsu supporters try to rally after the initial disadvantage, the red-headed kid is to the far left, right, left of the group. (00:03:00)
Other mistake: Wakabayashi and Ishizaki are shown in this episode as the only 2 players on the bench. The team is formed by 15 players, there should be another 2 subs. (00:04:00)
Continuity mistake: Morisaki in this episode is wearing the number 12 jersey, but he started the previous episode with the number 1. (00:08:35)
Other mistake: When Genzo browses the coach notes and figures out instantly what should have been obvious to anyone (the opponent never conceded any goal, that is no small detail!), the way the action of the opponent is shown, both attackers were in offside. (00:11:55)
Continuity mistake: Takeshi Sawada leaves everyone on the left wing in the dust. He beats an opponent that from the ground says "He's incredible." The guy behind him got himself a pair of spectacles in between shots. (00:13:40)
Continuity mistake: Nanbu's keeper yells at two defenders to contrast Hyuuga. They menacingly advance...and they are never seen again, it's different defenders that Hyuuga will beat to score the 3-4 comeback goal. (00:14:10)
Factual error: The goal kick after 0-2 in the Nankatsu-Shimada game is illegal, with a (nondescript) player shown kicking the ball forward to himself rather than passing. (00:16:20)
Continuity mistake: While Roberto explains the strategy to his mom, Tsubasa is busy fending off 2 opponents. In the first shot though there are 4, two of them just disappeared and his teammate Urabe appears instead. (00:16:35)
Other mistake: Nankatsu doesn't get a corner kick after the keeper fumbled the ball and a midfielder headed it past the line.
