Continuity mistake: When Sanae gets mad because the teacher is cheering for Tsubasa just as she does, the people behind her change in close-up. (00:04:00)
Other mistake: When the Shimada players listen to the pep talk from their number 10, their jerseys just go crazy; some have written "Shimada" on it, but some others "Shimad" and there's a guy with just "SHIMA" on it. (00:05:00)
Audio problem: The Shimada team let out a loud cheer, but the movement happens a good second later only, in the background. (00:05:55)
Continuity mistake: Morisaki parries a header from Shimada's number 8, but during the 'freeze' in action that highlights the dramatic save, a player kicking the ball is instead shown, and in the next shot we see a number 10 (with different hair from the usual number 10) in front of the goal. Morisaki is also back wearing a number 1 jersey. (00:08:00)

Continuity mistake: Behind Sanae when she hears someone else calling for Tsubasa's name, there are two spectators with a distinct appearance; one has a brown sweater with The Letter "K", the other a green shirt and indigo pants. Neither is in sight in the wider angle, and then they magically turn into a pea green K sweater and a blue shirt. (00:14:50)
Continuity mistake: The first time we see Tsubasa's old friend Yayoi, she's surrounded by different people in the opening shots, and a different new batch later again when she reveals her name. (00:15:25 - 00:19:40)
Continuity mistake: The Shimizu goalkeeper reacts to Tsubasa's shot in two different poses. In the second he also lost his gloves. (00:19:15)
Continuity mistake: When Sanae knocks down again her friend's glasses, the red-headed supporter gets a quick dye job. (00:21:30)
Continuity mistake: A person next to Yayoi at the beginning of the episode is wearing big shades and a visor. The visor has some unintelligible characters in red at first, then in another shot the word "Godzilla" in black. (00:02:30)
Continuity mistake: Ryo's mother arrives at the stadium and greets Teacher Maruyama. She sits down, and Maruyama's tracksuit lost the blue stripes on the shoulders, wrongly colored beige like the rest of the suit. (00:06:45)
Continuity mistake: In the shot just before the end of the first half, all the players in the field go bald. (00:07:10)
Continuity mistake: End of the first half. Ryo hands a yellow towel to his right and a blue towel to his left. They are swapped around in the reverse shot, and Shingo Takasugi is standing with them too. (00:07:25)
Continuity mistake: Ryo agrees with his forceful mom that tells him to encourage his team members; he replies with his hand behind his head, or down his side. (00:08:30)
Continuity mistake: The goalkeeper incites the rest of the team in their dastardly plan. He's facing right. Camera pans across the Shimizu team and their murderous faces, and the one to the far right, looking to the left, is the same keeper. (00:10:40)
