Trivia: After Erika tells Hawkeye that the ring is her grandmother's and she's not married, when Hawkeye joins Erika on her cot the lights flicker on and off a few times. This flickering was real and totally unscripted, and was due to a power failure on the set, but because Alan Alda and Joan Van Ark didn't miss a beat and continued with their lines the scene wasn't reshot, and they just added the PA voiceover announcing that it's the generator again.

Trivia: While Trapper's operating on Goldstein, the one who was brought in by Cowboy, Father Mulcahy sweetly recites in Hebrew a condensed and bit jumbled version of the Jewish prayer, "Mi Sheberach," usually said for someone who is in need of healing.

Trivia: A real wildfire occurred at the Fox Ranch M*A*S*H outdoor set, located in Malibu Creek State Park, destroying the entire set. The fire was filmed, and the producers and writers decided to incorporate the fire in the reworked script for the series finale.

Trivia: When Andy, Barney, the mayor, and Upchurch are at the courthouse with the plaster castings of the footprints, Upchurch has named the sets of prints "Able, Baker, and Charlie." The names "Able and Baker" are also the names of the two monkeys who were launched into space on May 28, 1959 in a Jupiter rocket.

Trivia: In Walker's Drugstore, among all the magazines by the wall there's a TV Guide magazine (from Oct 9, 1954) on the shelf, and on its cover is Lucille Ball the co-owner of Desilu Productions - which produced TAGS, and also filmed at Desilu Studios.

Trivia: In Ben's taxi there's a rubber shark snout with teeth hanging from the rearview mirror. Ben is also the name of the fisherman in Jaws, whose decapitated head pops out underwater. Taxi driver Ben is even dressed similarly to the fisherman character in Jaws. In this movie taxi driver Ben is played by Judd Hirsch, who starred on the 70s-80s TV show Taxi, along with Christopher Lloyd and Danny DeVito.

Trivia: When Lucas shows Fin the "amazing things" that can be found in a shark's gut, it cuts to two license plates on the RV's wall, both of which are homages. On the 90s TV show 'Beverly Hills 90210', Ian Zeiring (Fin) played Steve Sanders who drove a Corvette with plate "I8A 4RE." In the film Jaws, when Hooper cuts open the tiger shark he finds a license plate with "007 o 981."

Trivia: The character of General Gottlieb is played by Tim Russ. Carl Gottlieb co-wrote the screenplay for Jaws and two sequels.

Trivia: After the shark attacks the lifeguard in the pool it cuts to Nova's RV, and while Nova and Fin are watching Matt Lauer and Al Roker, notice the two Archie comics lying beside the laptop. Sharknado's director Anthony C. Ferrante collaborated with Archie Comics artist Dan Parent, and created a comic book titled "Archie vs Sharknado." It was released on the same day as this movie.

Trivia: In this movie Lou Ferrigno's name is Banner. In the 70s, Ferrigno starred in the TV show 'The Incredible Hulk' as the muscular green character who morphs from the character Dr. Banner when he's angered. Note that when the sharks are dropping in Secret Service agent Banner, who's protecting the VP, says, "Don't make me angry."

Trivia: After Fin receives the Presidential award he's introduced to "Mr. Benchley from The Post." Peter Benchley is the name of the author of 'Jaws' the novel, and Benchley also co-wrote the screenplay for 'Jaws' the film.

Trivia: While Jules and Travis discuss his graduation and Jules' popularity in school, Travis looks through his mom's yearbook and comments that there's a picture of Jules "dancing onstage with Bruce Springsteen." Courteney Cox, who plays Jules, appears in Bruce Springsteen's 'Dancing in the Dark' music video from 1984, as the girl in the audience who's pulled onstage by Springsteen to dance with him, towards the end of the video. This was Courtney's first acting job.
