The Combatribes

Character mistake: In the version for Nintendo consoles there are mini-cutscenes. The penultimate boss (whose name was changed from "Swastika" to "M, Blaster") says that the army made Martha and him "into cyborg's", instead of "cyborgs."

The Suicide Squad (2021)

Character mistake: David Dastmalchian is the Polka-Dot Man, hyphenated in the comics, and in the end credits of the movie. Then again, when Waller threatens to kill everyone off, the name of the character appears in print as Polka Dot Man, no hyphen. (01:49:40)

Tennis Manager (2021)

Character mistake: In the opening interview, one of the options during the question about playing styles is "I am a big fan of Pete Sampras or (sic) Roger Federer." However, due to licensing issues the ace Swiss player appears in the hall of fame as "Roger Feberer." It can't be both.

Tennis Manager (2021)

Character mistake: Despite the obviously heavy presence of female tennis players, in the interview section every question directed at a player managing a woman does not adapt the pronoun, so it's always "He won", "his form", etc.

Character mistake: In the fight in the Shaolin temple the Bruce Lee impersonator fights 4 monks who are supposed to attack him simultaneously, and they do, but Miss amazingly obvious openings, to the point of spending long seconds hopping around without attacking. Many martial arts movies feature as Common Mistake the main character facing multiple enemies that fight quite inefficiently, but few are this obvious when it comes to waiting a cue. (00:13:00)

Character mistake: In the first chapter of Night of the Yokai, after saving King and Ryo, Yuri talks to them about Yuri saving King and Ryo. Yes, in third person, which is not a quirk she shows in any other in-game dialogue.

New Getter Robo (2004)

There Goes Ryoma - S1-E1

Character mistake: Professor Saotome checks the status of the Getter Robot when his son falls unconscious. The HUD output is written in awkward EngRish, from the first line of the status report, called; "Monitor the state of affairs", to smaller details like the article randomly used for certain lines ("a control device, a correspondent"). The biggest flub though is that the name of his son is "Tatsuhito", in proper romanization, but here appears as "Tatuto." (00:05:20)

Character mistake: When the Quinjet explodes approaching the secret moonbase, the explosions cause several "POOM" onomatopeia, deviating by one curved stroke from the accepted standard "BOOM."

Sammo

Character mistake: During the tutorial, Phoenix needs to be reminded a few things. The judge asks him the victim's name, and Mia Fey next to him tells him where to look to get that information. Her line though is flubbed, since instead of "the victim's name" she says "Look, the defendant's name is in the Court Record." This mistake was spotted and fixed in the "Ace Attorney Trilogy" remake.

Character mistake: After defeating the final boss, your hero of choice jumps on the Quinjet to get back to Earth safely. The hero says "Thank you, Wonderman!" implying Simon Williams is the pilot, but in the ending cutscene Captain America is the aviator and only Iron Man, Hawkeye and Vision are inside the vehicle.

WWE 2K16

Character mistake: During matches involving Triple H, one of the random tidbits Jerry "The King" Lawler can mention is the match Hunter had on Wrestlemania 2000, where he bested in a fatal four-way "Mick Foley, the Rock and Mankind." Mick Foley IS Mankind, the fourth person in the main event was The Big Show.

Character mistake: In one of the initial compliments to Kagera, she mentions that when a man has courage and silver tongue, it's a dangerous combination "For a womEn."

A Wise Decision - S2-E12

Character mistake: In the Italian dub, Hyuga mentions the lesson he learned from "Julian Ross" (Jun Misugi). He never played against him or his team, and was even in a coma during their match. He meant "Philip Callahan" (Hikaru Matsuyama). (00:13:35)

Character mistake: The opening crawl of the Genesis version mentions that Red Skull is conquering the world "By assembling a team of super-VILLIANS."

Character mistake: The arcade closing credits feature a "Key animater" and a "Graphic Co operater", plus other questionable examples of engRish, such as "Back Ground."

Sammo

Character mistake: In the arcade, Simon Williams' alter ego is mentioned during the stages as "Wonderman" (wrong) and in the ending as "Wonder Man" (correct), and Namor is "Submariner" (wrong) during the stage, and "Sub-Mariner" (correct) in the ending. The Genesis version is even more incoherent, since it gets "Wonder Man" right in level 2, but keeps the wrong spelling "Wonderman" in level 5.

Sammo

Character mistake: After destroying the laser, the heroes face the villain called "Controller", whose name in the arcade version is misspelled as "Control."

Sammo

Character mistake: In the arcade version, at the end of the underwater level the heroes have to face "Mech. Taco", which is not a big soggy tortilla, but, being a mistranslation from the japanese word "Tako", a giant robot octopus.
