Continuity mistake: The kids are chatting and dismissing the threat of a Hyuga-less Meiwa FC. In front of Teppei Kisugi there's a red sports bag and something like a burlap sack; the two items switch position with the camera angles. (00:07:15)
Other mistake: Wakabayashi is holding the ball left from Tsubasa's lame attempt. His hand is positioned differently on the ball between shots, as noticeable from the hexagons. In that shot, his hat also has the wrong name "WGNZO", missing an E. (00:20:25)
Other mistake: Twelve players are warming up before the match, but only one is wearing a keeper outfit - there are two. (00:19:25)
Continuity mistake: Genzo walks out of the hotel wearing gloves in the long shot, wearing what appear to be miscolored flesh-toned gloves in several shots, and bare hands in the close-up. (00:08:00)
Other mistake: With a sigh, Genzo has to admit that he can't do anything for Hyuga and waiting is the only option. For his last line, his hat says just "W Genz" and not "W Genzo." (00:06:40)
Continuity mistake: Misugi lies on the stretcher; the pillow changes shape and position between shots. (00:03:05)
Other mistake: When the title of the episode appears, Hyuga's sheets in the hospital room do not match his body shape. (00:02:50)
Other mistake: Only one of the keepers from Meiwa FC appears in the episode; Wakashimazu replaced another one who is nowhere to be seen.
Other mistake: In the previous episode it was established that the final takes place the day after the semifinals. The kids went right away to the hospital and talked about the match against Musashi, wearing normal clothes, and had a night adventure searching the town left and right. In this episode another day passes by before the final.
Character mistake: In the Italian dub, Hyuga mentions the lesson he learned from "Julian Ross" (Jun Misugi). He never played against him or his team, and was even in a coma during their match. He meant "Philip Callahan" (Hikaru Matsuyama). (00:13:35)
