Watchmen (2009)

Trivia: When Dan and Hollis hear a TV news report referencing Rorschach, they glance at the screen in time to see grainy black and white 'file footage' of Rorschach walking quickly away and to the right of the camera position, glancing back over his right shoulder momentarily. That footage is intentionally designed to precisely mimic the infamously-disputed film of Bigfoot (known as the Patterson-Gimlin film of 1967). (00:17:50)

Watchmen (2009)

Trivia: During the opening fight scene, Comedian throws a mug at his attacker, but misses. The mug strikes the numerals on his apartment door, knocking the '1' off. This turns 3001 into "300", the name of the director's previous hit film.

The West Wing (1999)

Trivia: Janel Moloney (Donna Moss) was originally intended to be a rarely seen or heard background player (similar to Tobey and Sam's assistants). But very quickly, her banter and rapport with Josh became a fan favorite and she was promptly made a regular cast member and given much more screen time. When Mandy was dropped from the show after season one, Moira Kelly's name and image were dropped from the opening credits, replaced by Janel. As they say, "There are no small parts. Only small actors."

Batman (1966)

Batman trivia picture

Trivia: The 1966 T.V. Batmobile was created from a decade-old "concept show car" designed and built in 1955 by Ford's Lincoln Division. It was called the Lincoln Futura, and was originally a pearlescent pale green. After several years on the car show rounds (and an appearance in one movie, repainted red), it was sold for $1 to George Barris who stored it outdoors for 6 years. When FOX called looking for Barris to build a car for the show, they gave him 3 weeks, so he grabbed this already-weird looking car he had out back, sketched a few changes and passed the physical work to Bill Cushenberry. It was finished on time and the rest is history.

Lethal Weapon 3 (1992)

Trivia: When Delores calls herself the "Road Warrior", it's a fairly naked reference to Mel's prior role in the three Mad Max films. (00:11:15)

Lethal Weapon (1987)

Trivia: The helicopter from which Hunsacker is shot by Mister Joshua is FAA registry number N230CA, meaning it's the same Bell JetRanger wearing a POLICE paint scheme that is shot down towards the end of the movie 'Blue Thunder'. (01:14:10)

Grindhouse (2007)

Trivia: When Mike joins the first foursome of girls on the bar's porch, he asks 'Jungle Julia' if she's the person on a billboard near the Big Kahuna Burger restaurant. This is a fictitious joint also featured in Pulp Fiction during the scene when Travolta and Jackson kill the college guys.

Grindhouse (2007)

Trivia: Stuntman Mike's black '70 Chevy Nova wears a Tennessee tag with number '938 DAN'.which is the same number seen on the California tag on the yellowish-green '69 Charger in 'Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry', which is mentioned in the dialogue of this film. Yet another homage to 1970s car chase flicks. (01:35:55)

Trivia: Episode 18 - "Baltar's Escape": This is likely a mistake, but it's a self-excusing one that, if intentional, was a nice bit of inspired continuity. In "The Man with Nine Lives", a Colonial Warrior, played by an actor not seen previously, is guarding new recruits that are confined in their quarters awaiting security clearance. He not only freely gives out classified information, but is eventually overpowered by two phony recruits and locked in a supply closet. Then, in "Baltar's Escape", the same actor appears as a member of the Council of 12's security team. It's likely the film makers thought no one would recognize him, but given the disdain that Colonial warriors have for the Council's security people, it is fitting to see this failed Warrior reassigned to the Council - a nice touch, even if not intentional.

Below (2002)

Trivia: When Claire is in the Captain's quarters and turns to see the dead Winters' lying in his bunk, two shots that follow show Olivia first turning away from Winters, then emerging from his room into the passageway. Both of these shots were filmed in reverse, then played backwards to make them look more eerie - note the odd movement of her hair, especially in the latter shot. (01:22:40)

Trivia: Classic car nuts will find it humorous that a whole bunch of reproduction Chevrolet L-88 hood scoops are used as hatchway doors to the lifepods during the auto-destruct sequence, most obviously as they slam shut in close-up. (01:24:15)
