Corrected entry: The soldiers with parachutes travel to Chicago in two-rotor Osprey aircraft, but they jump out of four-rotor aircraft.
Corrected entry: During the Apollo 11 moonwalk, footage is shown of Walter Cronkite reporting a loss of signal from Apollo 11, saying it is on the dark side of the moon. Since the same side of the moon always faces Earth, the moon would not rotate so that the Apollo 11 craft would be on the dark side. A loss of signal such as the one Cronkite reported would occur when the craft is in lunar orbit and passes around the dark side, which takes about a half-hour.
Corrected entry: After Sentinel Prime is revived, even though no one has had time to tell him what's going on, much less what humans are, he does recognize humans.
Correction: That's easy. He had prior knowledge of humans. Maybe from the 50,000 odd years that the Transformers have been visiting Earth.
Corrected entry: When Sam Witwicky has his last job interview a woman starts looking at the camera crew.
Correction: She could be looking at anything that's offscreen. There's no indication that it's the camera crew.
Corrected entry: The new girlfriend is running in high heels and a white tight dress throughout the action scenes. One point they are all sliding down a building, running the streets. Yet, at end of movie, new girl is still very clean in her white dress while all the other actors are dirty and bloody. You would think by sliding down buildings and running around, she would get dirty or maybe a heel would break. But nothing.
Correction: This entry is wrong on a couple accounts, one, she is not in a dress. she is wearing pants, a blouse, and a jacket. second, she is very dirty by the time she and the others reach street level. the dirt on her pants and face is most appparant in the scene where the autobots are being prepared for execution.
Corrected entry: In the original script, Skids and Mudflap were to make their return, only to be killed by Sentinel Prime. Due to such a negative reaction to their appearance in Revenge of the Fallen, Michael Bay removed them from the film. However, there is still one shot in the film where you can see them. When the Autobots are entering NEST headquarters, Skids and Mudflap in vehicle mode are right behind Q.
Correction: This scene was edited for the film to wipe out Skids and Mudflap. They don't appear in the finished cut of the film. If you saw them then I suggest you get a hold of Michael Bay. He put up a $25,000 guarantee to anyone who could find Skids or Mudflap in the film.
Corrected entry: *Spoiler* At the end where Optimus attacks Megatron after Megatron kills Sentinel Prime, Megatron drops Sentinel's body right next to him. In the next shot after Optimus says "Time to find out" Sentinel Prime's body disappears.
Correction: That's because Megatron didn't kill Sentinel Prime. He merely ripped the top half of his helmet off. Sentinel could've easily moved away from the battle before Optimus killed him.
Corrected entry: Optimus uses the Matrix of Leadership to revive Sentinel Prime. Only problem is that the Matrix was in the Sun Harvester that was destroyed by Optimus at the end of the second movie.
Correction: Optimus had plenty of time between ROTF and this movie to retrive the Matrix from the rubble of the sun harvester. As important as the Matrix is, Optimus isnt going to just leave it.
Corrected entry: After the Ark crashes into the moon, the NASA bureaucrat who receives the news in his office is sitting in front of models of several rockets that would not yet have been designed in 1961, most notably the Saturn V (the big one on the far right), development of which didn't even start until 1962.
Correction: Many things, including rockets, are designed years (maybe decades) before they are developed. Not surprising that a NASA staff member had models of rockets well before they were developed.
Corrected entry: The arrival of Cybertron orbiting so close to Earth would have massive ramifications for our planet. Bearing in mind the effects our moon has on our planet and Cybertron is considerably larger, it would cause massive tsunamis, floods and affect Earth's orbit around the sun. No explanation is given onscreen as to how the Space Bridge technology works, therefore any correction that speculatively tries to guess is against site rules.
Correction: You're assuming Cybertron is a solid mass, like other celestial bodies in our solar system. It's not. It's shown, repeatedly, to be a framework structure, the frames themselves being more or less hollow for to allow for internal habitation and traversal. There is considerably less mass to this planet than there appears to be from a distance, therefore the gravitational effect on the Earth is nominal.
Corrected entry: When Sentinel Prime is revived he is immediately speaking English. I know that the Transformers can learn a language quickly via the Internet, but he was just revived and in under a second is practically fluent.
Correction: There is only one quad-rotor Osprey in the formation and no NEST soldiers are actually shown to have been able to properly jump-out after Starscream attacks it as it attempted to ascend to its planned altitude by Willis Tower. Col. Lennox's team is not shown to be in that aircraft since the quad-rotor was shown in right echelon Rear formation during the flight to Chicago, while he and his team are shown being able to see stricken Ospreys *behind* them. This would be consistent with the idea of the Commanding Officer and his team being in the Lead Aircraft. Starscream attacked the quad-rotor Osprey first, then Col. Lennox's two-rotor Osprey. His pilot gives the order to jump after seeing the quad-rotor get hit and after being hit themselves. The Colonel's team is shown being barely able to jump-out as the stricken quad-rotor fell perilously close-by behind their aircraft's open ramp.
