Resident Evil

Factual error: When Red Queen is explaining about the T-Virus they say that fingernails and hair continue to grow after death. This is not correct, While it appears that they grow, its actually down to the tissue drying out and retracting. An article on the topic can be found here: https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20130526-do-your-nails-grow-after-death A super computer that is knowle. (00:56:40)

Suggested correction: The T-virus causes the hair and nails to keep growing. The nails cause scratches that can increase infection, so it benefits the T-virus.

That is not what was said at all. In the film it states that even in death, the body remains active and that hair and fingernails continue to grow, news cells are produced, and the brain holds a small electrical charge that takes months to dissipate (all of which are false). Then the T-virus provides a massive jolt to growing cells and the brain to reanimate the dead.

Bishop73

She says those things after they ask her what those things are. She then starts to explain how the T-virus works. She doesn't say a dead body always keeps active, she says a dead body infected with the T-virus is still active, regenerating cells, hair and fingernails continue to grow. In short, it reanimates the dead (to a degree). That's how I read it anyway.

lionhead

Where is it stated that the T Virus actually does this? Its stated that the virus reanimates the body but not sure on the other.

Revealing mistake: When the survivors first get into the sewers, the camera goes forward on the dolly as they come around the corner. Until the camera gets its close up of Alice, everyone's hugging the wall to get out of the camera's way. (01:01:00)

Continuity mistake: Near the end, when Alice, Rain and Matt are talking to the "Red Queen" in the virus lab, there is a wall-mounted LG Flatron TFT display where the Red Queen shows surveillance footage, etc. One can see an inventory type barcode label in the bottom centre of the screen. The camera cuts away briefly, and when the camera shows the display again, the barcode label is gone and the LG logo is in its place. (01:14:50)

Other mistake: Watch Milla Jojovich's hair during the scene when they are held at gunpoint by Spence. Her hair moves from shot to shot. For the most obvious, watch right after Spence shoots the zombie. (01:15:25)

Continuity mistake: When Spence has been killed we see the broken monitor which has a white column through the screen, which turns black or white depending on the shot. (01:16:00)

Audio problem: When Spence is killed by the Licker, Matt sees this on the screen and asks, "What the f**k was that?" You can see that his jaw isn't moving. (01:17:25)

Revealing mistake: The Red Queen tries to goad Alice into killing Rain in the laboratory, with the Licker pounding against the glass outside. Just after they escape the room, the Licker breaks in. Watch its jump very carefully. you can see the exact invisible "line" where the Licker stops being a guy in a suit and becomes computer generated. It even changes colour. (01:20:45)

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film, on the train ride out of the Hive, Rain is quite close to becoming undead. When she speaks, we notice her teeth are still "movie-star white". However, a few shots later, when she becomes a zombie, she sort of hisses where you can see it has taken what couldn't have been more than a few mere minutes for her teeth to become brown and discolored. Continuity mistake: When Matt gets scratched by the mutated Licker at the end of the film, the scratches on his arm appear before the creature's claws actually hit him. (01:24:15)

Continuity mistake: Shortly after the Licker pulls Kaplan out of the train, Matt shuts the door so it can't get at the rest of them. The Licker goes on the roof to use the back entrance to get into the car. Matt hears this and rushes to bar the back door. Pay attention to the near dead Raine. She suddenly gets a lot more life and quickly moves out of the way to avoid being accidently trampled. (01:24:55)

Other mistake: When the train arrives back under the mansion from the Hive, it enters the station from the wrong direction. Looking at the track from the platform, the train comes in from right to left, when it should be from left to right. (01:27:20)

Continuity mistake: Alice wakes up at the end and is completely nude with the exception of some paper taped to her front. We see when crawls under the bed that this is the case. However as she is cocking the shotgun in the streets the wind blows open to the doctor's jacket she put on earlier, but it also shows that she is now wearing white underwear to hide her modesty in case of a mishap with the wind. Factual error: The case containing the virus requires a four digit code to open it. As demonstrated by the operative that opened it to give himself the antidote near the train. Yet Alice closes the case, and later opens it without entering a code.

Continuity mistake: At the start of the film, the scientists are attempting to breach the window with an axe. Later in the same lab in the movie, Alice picks up an axe, even though it was shown before being wielded by the zombie.

Rain: She bit me man! I mean she took a chunk clean right out of me!

Trivia: In the final scene when Milla Jovovich emerges from Racoon City Hospital into the ruined city, a newspaper blows past in the wind with the headline "The Dead Walk" - a blatant reference to George Romero's classic zombie flick "Day of the Dead" where a newspaper with the same headline blows past in the opening sequence. I ask because I found my old game disk and the entry was still in the case and I was wondering if someone did win, if so who was it?

dablues7
