Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film, on the train ride out of the Hive, Rain is quite close to becoming undead. When she speaks, we notice her teeth are still "movie-star white". However, a few shots later, when she becomes a zombie, she sort of hisses where you can see it has taken what couldn't have been more than a few mere minutes for her teeth to become brown and discolored. Continuity mistake: Near the beginning of the movie, Milla Jovovich reads a note that has been left on the desk. She didn't write it, as they demonstrate in the film. However, when they do show the person who wrote the note composing it, the handwriting is different from that in the note from the earlier scene. (00:10:20 - 01:12:25)

Continuity mistake: When Matt gets scratched by the mutated Licker at the end of the film, the scratches on his arm appear before the creature's claws actually hit him. (01:24:15)

Trivia: The picture on the computer of the hive looks like an upside down umbrella and the name of the corporation who own the hive is ... the Umbrella corporation.

Trivia: In the final scene when Milla Jovovich emerges from Racoon City Hospital into the ruined city, a newspaper blows past in the wind with the headline "The Dead Walk" - a blatant reference to George Romero's classic zombie flick "Day of the Dead" where a newspaper with the same headline blows past in the opening sequence. Trivia: The train which the heroes catch to and from the umbrella facility is remarkably similar to the train at the end of the Resident Evil 2 game.

Question: Is the reanimation of dead people the purpose of the virus, or an unforeseen side effect? If it's a side effect, what was the original purpose of the T-Virus?

Question: Why is the game series this is based on known as 'Resident Evil' in some countries but in others it's called 'Biohazard'? Does the name swap also apply to the film?

Question: So when the game RE:2 came out there was an entry to win a role in the Resident Evil film. Who in this film was the winner of that contest or was a winner ever named? I ask because I found my old game disk and the entry was still in the case and I was wondering if someone did win, if so who was it?
