Continuity mistake: When the Predator snatches the skull with the spinal cord attached from Bill Paxton's body in the subway tunnel, there should have at least been small amounts if not a good bit of blood left on the stairs leading up to the street surface by the time Danny Glover go to it while he was chasing him. (01:03:05)
Visible crew/equipment: Towards the end of the movie, the Predator is climbing up the side of a tall building. Danny Glover jumps in his car to take off after it. As he starts to drive away, towards the left you can see the shadow of an elevated cameraman/equipment. (01:03:55)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the fight in the slaughter house, Lt. Harrigan scrambles up a ladder and goes onto the roof with the predator in hot pursuit. A few moments later, Harrigan slams into the predator and they both fall off the roof. Suddenly, they are about 10-15 stories up dangling from a ledge. The slaughter house wasn't 10-15 stories tall...it wasn't even three stories. (01:16:05 - 01:24:25)
Audio problem: When the Predator is about to shoot Gary Busey, just before Danny Glover blows the door in, listen. The actor playing the Predator is counting to three before the explosion, preparing himself for the effect. Easily heard if you turn your tv up. (01:16:15)
Continuity mistake: Harrigan blows his way into the slaughterhouse with a series of explosions. The Predator whips around as soon as it hears the first one, then does it again after a few more explosions go off. (01:16:15)
Revealing mistake: When the predator fires his plasma caster in the slaughterhouse scene, you can see that the simple laser blast has been replaced by a Chinese sparkling firework on a string. In the original "Predator" you could see this same effect on a string but it was not nearly as spectacular and easier to miss. (01:17:50)
Revealing mistake: At the slaughterhouse fight, both the Predator and Harrigan shoot simultaneously, Harrigan with the machine gun's grenade launcher and Predator with the gun on his left arm. When the shot is fired, visible on the Predator's weapon is a wire/fuse. (01:17:50)
Continuity mistake: In the slaughterhouse scene, Danny Glover's character pulls out a shotgun and blasts the Predator several times, knocking it flat on his back. Just as soon as you see the Predator hit the ground, you can see his mask start to fly off as though it's loosely attached. In the next scene, Danny Glover has to put some effort to pry it off, when it should have flown off in the first place. (01:18:45)
Other mistake: In the slaughterhouse scene, after Harrigan has injured the Predator with his shotgun and Keyes reappears, the Predator throws its disc, and severs Keyes in half at the waist. We see his legs flop to the ground, and blood pour from above, but his upper half (torso, backpack and weaponry) mysteriously remain hovering out of sight. (According to the director, the MPAA made him cut the footage of the top half of his body hitting the ground because it was too gory, creating this odd error). (01:21:50)
Revealing mistake: In the slaughterhouse scene, look carefully after the predator throws the disc to Keyes. The disc slices the beef that are hanging, but just before it slices Keyes, there is a split-second stop. (01:21:50)
Revealing mistake: When Glover slices off the Predator's hand with the disc, you can see the hand has already been cut and then re-attached to the costume (there's a very visible dividing line between the two). (01:25:30)
Revealing mistake: In the scene where the Predator has fallen into the bathroom of an old couples apartment, you see all types of building materials such as brick, wood, and such laying on the floor from the impact. If you look closely, some of the bricks actually bounce up and down after the Predator hits the floor. (01:25:50)
Revealing mistake: When the Predator runs out of the bathroom after doing minor surgery on himself, you can see that when he punches through the bathroom wall and into the living room and from the living room into the hallway, that both sets of doors had been pre-cut to achieve this effect. Even with the amount of force applied by the Predator, to do this considering how powerful it is, the wooden slats that were used in the old days to give homes extra strength and to help plaster adhere to walls would certainly have been more rugged looking than they were as in the movie they are neatly cut into the shape that the Predator, had to go through. (01:29:55)
Continuity mistake: When the Predator finally collapses at the end, Harrigan rises out of the mist on the ground twice. (01:35:15)
Continuity mistake: As Harrigan approaches the collapsed Predator in its lair, he switches from holding the disk at an angle to holding it flat. (01:35:25)
Continuity mistake: On the end of the movie, when Harrigan is leaving the cave where the alien ship was, there is no way a ship that big could pass through such a small hole. (01:39:00)
Continuity mistake: At the end when Harrigan is walking out of the tunnel and the helicopter is preparing to land the pistol is in his right hand, but after that as the helicopter lands he's holding it in his left. (01:40:26)
Continuity mistake: At the very end, as Harrigan says his last line, he lifts the pistol over his shoulder in his right hand. Cut to the helicopter taking off and both his hands are lowered, with the pistol in his left. (01:41:05)
Continuity mistake: In the beginning, after the gang retreats into the building, you see what appears to be the leader sniffing from a golden container. After a quick cut to the gang getting ready, you see his moustache covered with white powder. After another cut, a closeup shows his moustache is clean, way too quick to have cleaned up.
Continuity mistake: After king Willie has had his head cut off, the marks on his cheeks are much darker and drawn on with marker pen. Otherwise, the decapitated head is quite convincing.
Suggested correction: We don't actually know if the disc completely cuts Keyes in half (or just passes through him and leaves a gaping hole). You see the blood, but the movie is edited so that it cuts back to Harrigan looking on in horror for a split-second, then back to Keyes' body on the floor (mostly obscured by a cement pillar).
They blatantly show his legs hitting the ground without the top half! I can only assume you watched an edited-for-TV version or something. It's VERY clear in the movie that he was cut in half. (In actuality, the scene was the victim of the MPAA according to the director... they had to cut the bit where the top half of his body hit the ground because it was too gory... creating this odd movie mistake).
