Audio problem: When Ajax is at the park handcuffed to the bench, he calls the woman a lousy bitch, but his mouth never moves. (00:53:03)
Audio problem: When Doug is staring at the terrorist and says, "I can see him, he's right in front of me", you'll notice that his mouth moves a little before words are actually said. This is because he first says "Jesus", but they took it out because the character playing the terrorist is Jim Caviziel, who played Jesus in Passion of the Christ. The filmmakers did not want to get a laugh out of that line which it inevitably did in test screenings. (01:06:10)
Audio problem: In the scene where Victor plays the piano for the first time in the movie, we hear him playing long, sustained notes, which obviously need to be played with a pedal down. However, he doesn't use the sustain pedal. What's more strange is, the piano does not even have a sustain pedal.
Audio problem: When Williams is checking out the tray of meat he points and says "hmm, No, I really don't think so." His words don't match up to his mouth.
Audio problem: When the girls enter the fortune-tellers home, the fortune-teller says "I know," however her mouth says something else. (00:48:35)
Audio problem: Reference the dialogue in the hangar where Mav/Goose and Charlie are discussing what was happening when they met the MiG, and Goose says "You know, the finger." In the original 1985 cinema release, Charlie replies "Yes, I know the finger, Lieutenant," but in the video release this has been changed to "Yes, I know the finger, Goose." If you look closely you'll see that her lips don't move when she enunciates the word "Goose," and if you listen carefully you can hear the edit change in the soundtrack between "finger," and "Goose."
Audio problem: When Chelsea is screaming "Liar! Liar! Liaar!!" to her mother, Kathy, in one shot we see Chelsea's mouth still saying "liar," but no audio is heard. (00:47:05)
Audio problem: After the scene where the men had to fight off the giant bugs, there is a wide shot where the men can be seen being helped out of the pit by the captain and a few extra crewmembers. The captain is shouting something, however, if you look closely, his mouth is not in sync with what he is saying.
Audio problem: When Jimmy takes Lilly inside, the first time he gets to the trailer, you hear Greg say "What the f*ck I do?" But his mouth isn't moving at all. (00:12:20)
Audio problem: In the scene where Albert tries to make a move on Nettie she tells him that she has to go to school. Her mouth isn't moving at any time.
Audio problem: When Michael is caught in a traffic jam he shouts, "Will ya stop talking and fix the sewer". But if you look at the side view mirror, his mouth is not in sync with the words.
Audio problem: Just after the baby, Megan, eats the can of chili, she hiccups once or twice. You can hear the hiccup, but her stomach and mouth don't even move with the hiccup.
Audio problem: In the hospital, while discussing the list, Edward talks to Carter and, from the back, he says the word "grief" and the sound stops; but his jaw keeps on moving as if he kept on talking.
Audio problem: When the couple is flying to their vacation destination, they are in a Turbo-Prop aircraft. The sound affect used was from a piston engined aircraft.
Audio problem: During the wild boar hunt, they are interrupted by Aleander who says, "Prince Frederick of Saxony. He refuses to surrender Luther to you, Your Holiness," but nothing matches his lip movements. He utters a couple of syllables, at most, out of sync with the two full sentences heard in the movie. (English DVD version). (01:03:15)
Audio problem: When Monica runs back upstairs to see what David did to her perfume bottle, the sounds of the footsteps on the stairs don't sync up with the steps we see her taking. (00:24:40)
Audio problem: Just before midnight when the band is playing "Morning After" the camera pans out for a wide shot of the dance floor - the dancers are dancing MUCH too fast for such a slow song - and you do still hear the song.
Audio problem: Towards the end when Rubin Carter is in court, there are numerous occasions when you can hear the courtroom observers talking and whispering to each other. In the camera shots of the observers, there is not one person that is visibly talking.
Audio problem: Just as the two criminals who robbed Max are walking away, Vincent asks them if that is his briefcase. The guy with the long hair replies, "Yeah it is. Why you want it back?" but his mouth doesn't match what he is saying. It appears he is saying something closer to, "Put up your f**king hands." (00:35:15)
Audio problem: During the "Sparke Motion" dance scene, the dance instructor is mouthing the wrong words to the song the girls are dancing to. "West End Girls" by the Pet Shop Boys was originally going to be the dance number, and that is actually the song playing for the recording of the scene. Richard Kelly couldn't get permission to use it, and "Notorious" by Duran Duran was substituted. The teacher is plainly mouthing words from the wrong song.
