Visible crew/equipment: When TC pushes Magnum's wheelchair while Rick and Higgins walk alongside, Higgins is relating the situation to another one of his experiences, and in the next shot as the Gilberts approach Magnum, a bit of the boom equipment is visible at the left side of the screen. Revealing mistake: When Magnum chases after Randolph at the airport tarmac and finally catches him, there's an outline of elbow pads on Magnum's sleeves. Earlier, there was a shot from behind Magnum as he pulled the gun from his waistband, and his sleeves were normal.
Visible crew/equipment: At the airport, while Randolph holds a gun on Rick during the standoff Claudia shouts out, and when Rick falls to the ground just as Randolph starts to flee, the arm of the boom operator and the boom are visible at the right side of the screen. (00:44:00)
Visible crew/equipment: While Higgins is on the road trying to complete his jog, when Magnum pulls up alongside an exhausted Higgins, the reflection of the reflector screens is visible in the triangular window. (00:32:30)

Continuity mistake: While Virginia is alone with the butler, when she gets off the elevator she presses the ground floor button, and in this closeup she has long polished fingernails and is wearing a gold band on her right hand, but in other shots her nails are short and the ring on her right hand is entirely different. Visible crew/equipment: While "Thomas Milton" and Virginia are dressed up in surgical gowns Emerson White enters the room, and as White walks behind the table a T-mark becomes visible as the camera pans toward the right. (00:15:00)
Visible crew/equipment: After Magnum tells Kendall that the agent had been killed in a car accident and that's why he never showed up, when Kendall gets up and walks away from Magnum and the piano, the actor's white T-mark is visible on the floor beside Magnum's feet. (00:32:30)

Continuity mistake: After Higgins finally agrees to Magnum's three month deal, when it cuts to the Ferrari driving down the street, the car easily drives forward into the huge space between two other parked vehicles, but in the next shot the blue vehicle parked behind the Ferrari is now much closer (note the parking meter), which would have made the Ferrari's previous maneuver impossible. Revealing mistake: At the King Kamehameha Club, while Joan Gibson is sitting at the table, there are at least two wires crudely attached to the bottom of the tablecloth preventing the wind from blowing it upward, and disrupting filming of the outdoor scene.
Visible crew/equipment: After Magnum packs up and leaves, when it cuts to Higgins rehearsing his "ravishing" and "champagne" lines while his sweet lads look on, the actor's white T-mark is visible on the rug. (00:36:50)
Visible crew/equipment: When Higgins opens the door expecting to see Jennifer, it's TC who says hi to Higgie Baby and walks inside, then the shadow of the boom mic starts moving on the wall at the top, right side of the screen. (00:39:35)
Visible crew/equipment: After Higgins tells Magnum that he's been accused of leering, Magnum decides to go over and apologize despite his innocence, and in the wide shot as Magnum stands up, the boom mic is visible as it hovers at the top of the screen. Visible crew/equipment: When Hue and Ki show up at the church looking for Michelle, three of Ki's men walk out of the church in an exterior shot, and the lowered boom microphone pops up into view at the bottom, right corner of the screen. (01:30:10)

Revealing mistake: In the opening shot, while Carol Ann is calmly jogging, moving along right beside her is the filming vehicle's shadow, visible at the bottom of the screen, then Carol Ann exits the park. (00:01:30)
Other mistake: A plastic bag with a wallet and a watch, placed right next to a claymore mine when it explodes with a whole car, would hardly stay perfectly intact, and completely untouched by the police when they already towed the car to the impound lot.
Other mistake: Magnum spots a patrol car inside the impound lot. He and TC duck down, and they are at the side of the car. The same side the camera is at, when it gives us a view of the patrol car passing by. It's plain daylight, and they officers have to be completely blind to Miss those two big dudes lying by the side of the car in a spot they have a clean eyesight on. (00:36:20)
