Continuity mistake: After Magnum is given the map with the location of the island, when TC's helicopter takes off it's Y-tailed, then it changes to T-tailed, and then the skids change as well. (00:38:55)
Continuity mistake: When Magnum is holding the negatives tube behind his back while on deck, there are two closeups of the tube in his hand, but in these closeups the watchband on Magnum's wrist is a completely different style. (00:43:40)
Visible crew/equipment: When Danny Frye snatches the negatives tube from Magnum's hand and takes off, in the following shot as Magnum moves Peggy aside, the black tape mark is visible on the deck in front of Mrs. Tate's feet. (00:43:55)
Visible crew/equipment: When Magnum gives RJ good advice and also tells him to apologize to Higgins about the gate and everything else, in the shot facing RJ as he agrees, the boom mic dips into view at the top of the screen. (00:37:25)

Continuity mistake: When Magnum is at Koho Bar to find Ilima, in the shot facing Mr. Parker he angrily raises his right arm and points at Magnum, but in the next shot it's Mr. Parker's left arm that's raised. (00:33:25)
Revealing mistake: During Magnum and TC's dive in Kahuku Lagoon, while they're underwater the windows of the tank enclosure are visible in a few shots. Also note, at the start of Magnum's daydream dive, we can also see people behind the windows. (00:05:10 - 00:09:00)
Continuity mistake: After Magnum follows Will's trail on horseback he continues on foot, and when Magnum reaches the cliff he runs across the edge without wearing gloves, but in Magnum's next semi-closeup the gloves suddenly appear on both of his hands. (00:35:40)
Visible crew/equipment: When Magnum, TC, and Ron leave the basketball court they walk toward the van, and the reflection of the overhead boom pole/mic is visible on the roof of the car, as it follows them.
Visible crew/equipment: After Magnum is done fixing the generator, when it cuts to Higgins using the chainsaw on the tree limb, there are two white plastic T-marks on the ground amidst the bramble, for the two actors. (00:26:50)
Visible crew/equipment: While Higgins is standing on the step stool Magnum walks into the library obviously upset, and when Higgins steps off the stool the white tape mark on the floor becomes visible under the table, where he is about to stand. (00:18:35)
Visible crew/equipment: When Magnum and Goldie drive up to the dock so Magnum can deliver the papers, as he opens the car door the reflection of a 9-bank lighting rig is visible on the door's surface. This happens again when they drive out to see Rodney Radcliff. (00:12:00)
Visible crew/equipment: When Magnum and TC are walking toward the chopper while carrying the supplies, the reflection of a crew member wearing jeans and a dark shirt is visible on the chopper's surface. (00:10:40)
Deliberate mistake: When Magnum first meets Geoffrey's wife, Penelope, the shot facing Magnum as he asks her if something is wrong, is the start of a series of flipped shots facing each of them during this scene. (00:11:30)
Deliberate mistake: While Magnum is with Penelope at the cemetery Magnum spots a man standing by the tree, and when Magnum walks over to stand beside Penelope, this shot is flipped. (00:32:55)
