Continuity mistake: The very first shot of the episode after the opening shows TC's chopper with the flotation skids and serial number N58243, but when it lands on the roof it's the more familiar N1095A with no such pads. (00:01:30)
Continuity mistake: The guy on top of the building passes TC an envelope with his fee. The envelop is facing a different direction between shots - it opens with the flap towards him in the first one, towards TC in the next. (00:02:40)
Continuity mistake: The chauffeur gets a phone call while Magnum and his client is in the elevator. In wide shot he's holding the wheel with the hand at the top, but he's waiting with the hand on 9 o' clock in the closer view, and back on top as it switches to the same angle as before. (00:13:20)
Revealing mistake: The security guy is checking Magnum as he appraises the cutlery and waits with his client for the rich man. And at the top of the frame of the security camera feed...the security camera that is supposedly filming. (00:14:40)
Visible crew/equipment: While "Thomas Milton" and Virginia are dressed up in surgical gowns Emerson White enters the room, and as White walks behind the table a T-mark becomes visible as the camera pans toward the right. (00:15:00)
Continuity mistake: Magnum is talking with Mr. White, hands raised, for some reason. When the camera is behind Tom Selleck, his two forefingers of the right hand are close together, while filmed from the front they distant enough to keep the index out of frame entirely. (00:15:30)
Continuity mistake: Magnum is carrying the box to Virginia's new bungalow. From the door, they look inside and find it all messed up like the old one. Magnum is then consoling Virginia without having time to put down the box. (00:20:10)
Revealing mistake: When Magnum is in the sniper's crosshair (and the following shots from that angle) you can already spot on the pillow the circular area around the detonation point of the charge that simulates a bullet - and even the little bulge of the charge itself. (00:23:35)
Audio problem: Magnum is begging Rick for a favor, and finally agrees to his conditions. He says "Will you do me the favour?" and an off-screen crunching noise is heard. But Rick is eating a sandwich, he still has it in hand. Only a second later he puts that down and grabs a crisp, which would make that kind of sound. (00:28:30)
Continuity mistake: When Rick is getting the print of the keys from the geriatric butler, his grip on the box changes depending on the camera angle. (00:31:05)
Continuity mistake: Virginia Fowler is entering the building on her own with the butler. Barker in the security camera footage is holding the elevator key in his left hand, but when the angle changes, it's in his right hand. (00:34:15)
Continuity mistake: While Virginia is alone with the butler, when she gets off the elevator she presses the ground floor button, and in this closeup she has long polished fingernails and is wearing a gold band on her right hand, but in other shots her nails are short and the ring on her right hand is entirely different. Revealing mistake: Virginia before tripping the butler pushes the G button to send the elevator down. When the security guy is looking at the phony CPR scene in the monitor, the elevator is still at the floor, open doors and not moving. (00:34:40)
Revealing mistake: Magnum and Mrs. Ballard come out of the elevator supposedly at the same floor - the Penthouse - Virginia and the butler went to. But coming out of it, the number "4" is visible instead. (00:36:00)
Other mistake: When the security guard is looking at Magnum trying to mess with the lock, the camera is on the ceiling, but the camera angle he gets on his monitor is as if the camera were level with him. (00:38:10)
Continuity mistake: When Magnum grabs Virginia for the 'exercise' meant to fool the camera, she trips on Farber's flipflops. When the security guy is checking the room out from the camera, the shoes and Virginia's handbag are in different positions. (00:39:10)
Continuity mistake: When Magnum and the girls begin their tiptap behind the camera, the Bic pen by the security guy moves between cuts without being touched. (00:39:35)
Revealing mistake: Magnum and the others are escaping from the cryo room; meanwhile the two baddies are by the door...but in a mirrored shot, with the letters (for instance the big "Corrosive" sign) seen in reverse. (00:43:45)
Revealing mistake: Looking at the reflection in TC's sunglasses and the relative staticity of the background it is quit evident that they are not flying around the building, but the chopper is landed somewhere with the cameraman doing some wiggling to shake things up a bit and give the impression of flight. (00:44:10)
Continuity mistake: As Magnum and the unlikely bunch of characters he picked up along the way reach the roof and move up a flight of stairs, the shadows on the cement change drastically in the aerial shot. (00:44:50)
