Factual error: After Ethel Richardson unwittingly reveals to Miss Pollard that there's a special meeting of the school board, when it cuts to John's truck returning home from the meeting, at the start of this shot a modern black car is visible at the top, right corner of the screen. (00:34:35)
Visible crew/equipment: During supper everyone is talking about Miss Pollard leaving, and when Mary Ellen says that she heard Miss Pollard crying, a crew member wearing a blue shirt is visible at the right side of the screen. (00:40:25)
The Bequest - S2-E12
Continuity mistake: While Reverend Fordwick is speaking to the congregation at Sunday's service, in all three of Esther's closeups we see the girl who is wearing a blue dress and brown hat sitting behind Esther, but in other shots that girl is seated two rows in front of Esther and it's Jason and Ben who are seated behind their grandmother. (00:24:30)
The Journey - S2-E1
Visible crew/equipment: After their visit to the beach, Maggie and John-Boy go into the nearby town to look for the restaurant, and when they stop at the corner we can see the chalk T-mark on the sidewalk, then they walk a bit and another chalk T-mark is visible, and when Maggie spots the restaurant two final chalk marks are visible at their feet. (00:38:15)
Audio problem: When Todd Cooper says "Good job" to Job-Bob while examining Jim-Bobs wooden plane int he boys' bedroom, it makes a very distinct echo that lingers for almost 30-sec, and then repeats very faintly in the next shot. (00:03:20)
Continuity mistake: Esther's wedding band is missing from her finger while she's sweeping and talking to Maryellen on the stairwell. But seconds later when she heads outside it's suddenly back on.
Factual error: The Literary Digest Sheriff Epp is reading in Godsey's store is dated Aug 1936, when only a year has passed since the show's inception at 1932.
Revealing mistake: Throughout most of the episode, The Car is a standard black with chrome trimming. But at the end it's suddenly beige when Johnboy and the kids are polishing it for their first ride.
Suggested correction: At the end it's not "suddenly beige." Mid-episode Mary Ellen mentions a family project to, "Design you a new-looking car" and Erin adds, "We can paint it." Soon John-Boy says, "I'd like to paint it a nice dignified shade of tan." In the penultimate scene John-Boy drives Hyder and Martha Rudge back home. Time passes offscreen. It cuts to the final scene with Mary Ellen and Erin placing their new cut/sewn seat covers in the newly painted tan car, and nobody is "polishing it for their first ride."
Factual error: The Woman talking with Mamie and Emily about the jams is wearing 1970s large framed glasses. (00:33:15)
