Visible crew/equipment: Shadows from booms and camera corners are quite visible in several shots around Erin's office and the plant exterior as the "film crew" is shooting.
Character mistake: When JimBob is talking to Mr. Perkins in the loft of the barn he mistakenly states that he used to share a bedroom with his 3 brothers when in fact JohnBoy had his own bedroom.
The Journal - S8-E7
Continuity mistake: In this episode Olivia states that she conceived one month after getting married. Olivia asks John if he remembers that summer when just the two of them went camping up on the mountain, and they both recall that it was their one month anniversary after eloping. Olivia also says that she knew later that night, "That there's some kind of miracle happening inside me," and even felt that it was a boy - John-Boy, their eldest child. The problem is, in 8x1 "The Homefront," when Cindy joins Olivia in the garden, Cindy asks, "How long was it before you knew you were expecting John-Boy?" and Olivia replies, "About two years, but everybody is different..." Visible crew/equipment: While Mary Ellen takes over Nora's job by visiting the people of Blue Ridge's backwoods hollows, when Mary Ellen mounts the horse we can see the bulging outline of the mic transmitter at her back, such as when she leaves Grandma Floyd after giving her the roses. (00:21:30)
Visible crew/equipment: In the day room, after Jason calls Toni out on her crabbiness, he tells her that he's crazy about her and walks out. Then when Toni sits down at the piano, the shadow of the boom mic is visible on the wall. (00:29:35)
Continuity mistake: When Elizabeth walks out to the porch, she stands beside Zadok holding one apple in each hand in the wideshot, but in the medium shot both apples are in her left hand, but next shot it's back to one apple in each hand. (00:16:40)

Visible crew/equipment: When Jeffrey begrudgingly mows the grass, the bulging outline of the mic transmitter is visible at his lower back. (00:36:20)

Visible crew/equipment: When Cindy snaps at Jim-Bob as he and Elizabeth walk out of the door, the shadow of the boom mic is visible on the door, at the right side of the screen, just as Ben greets Cindy. Then when the couple enter the kitchen, the shadow of the boom mic appears over the sink. (00:36:45)

Visible crew/equipment: After Calvin makes more threatening remarks to John in front of Godsey's store, when Ike asks John if Calvin threatened him again, Ike turns to watch John walk away, and the tip of the hidden microphone is visible inside Ike's shirt, under his bow tie.
The Home Front: Part 2 - S8-E2
Visible crew/equipment: When Ike removes the gas pump from John's truck he turns to put it away, and the black wire as well as the bulging outline of the mic transmitter are visible at the back of his waist. Then after John pays Ike for the gas, Calvin pulls alongside John just as he reaches up to wipe his truck's windshield, and we can see the bulging outline of the mic transmitter and its wire on John's back.
Visible crew/equipment: After Olivia nearly hits the boys who ran in front of the vehicle, she gives the children a lift back to Pickett, and as Olivia and Cindy drive away from Godsey's, the reflections of a few crew members are visible on the vehicle's windows. (00:05:10)
Revealing mistake: When Anna Mae appears at the bedroom doorway John sees the cute quiet girl, then as John walks toward her he passes the dresser's mirror, and we can see in the reflection the end of the set wall behind him. (00:14:30)
Continuity mistake: When Olivia tells Erin that she will handle J.D., in the exterior shot Olivia walks into Pickett's Tavern empty handed, but in the next interior shot Olivia suddenly has a black purse in her hand as she walks in. (00:34:50)

Visible crew/equipment: After the Baldwin sisters leave Godsey's, when it cuts to Erin at Pickett's just as Barry enters the office, the shadow of the boom mic dips into view at the right side of the screen. (00:11:20)

Visible crew/equipment: When Ben parks the truck in front of The House Jeffrey rushes over, and as Ben lifts Reckless from the truck's flatbed we can see the T-mark drawn onto the dirt ground, which is precisely where Mary Ellen stands while they talk about Reckless. (00:25:45)

Visible crew/equipment: At the Thatcher farm, when Mary Ellen introduces her mother to Darcy the tip of the microphone is visible under Olivia's blouse, near the collar. Then when Darcy opens her door, that mic is visible again as Mary Ellen asks if she and Olivia could come in. (00:12:05)

Visible crew/equipment: When Mary Ellen and Olivia drive to the Thatcher farm, the bulging outline of the mic transmitter is visible on Darcy's back, as she bends over to pick up the gun. (00:11:50)
