The Waltons mistake picture

The Sinner - S1-E8

Visible crew/equipment: At the start, while Miss Prissom and Matthew Fordwick are driving to the Waltons they are alone in the vehicle, but when Miss Prissom tells Matthew about the Buddhists from her village, we can see the hand of a crew member moving around behind Miss Prissom. (00:02:25)

The Star - S1-E7

Visible crew/equipment: After the Colonel tastes the Recipe and asks about it, when Polonius tells his friend that the "secret" is the Recipe machine, the shadow of the moving boom mic is visible over Polonius. (00:31:10)

Super Grover

The Carnival - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: When Esther breaks her eyeglasses, in the closeup as John-Boy picks it up half of its right lens is gone, but in the wideshot as he hands the glasses to Olivia that lens is still intact. (00:03:20)

Super Grover

The Carnival - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: While John and Zeb are making the train arrangements with Sam, just as Zeb calls Homer an old priss Sam opens the clock dial's top hinged glass door in the wideshot, but in his next closeup that door is suddenly shut and it's the pendulum's bottom glass door which is now wide open. The Foundling - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: After Elizabeth tells her mother that nobody cares about her, while she sulks on the porch there's a wideshot of the girls playing catch with Holly, then as the camera is dollying out Holly's mother comes into view at the left and she's wearing a sweater, but in the next closeup the sweater has vanished. (00:32:40)

Super Grover

An Easter Story - S1-E25

Factual error: When Olivia gets polio, she is at home. John is allowed to stay with her 24/7. It seems unlikely that the doctor, even if not taken to hospital, would allow John to stay in the room and risk contamination.

Rebecca Venter

The Minstrel - S1-E15

Revealing mistake: When Maryellen runs into John-Boy's arms (after running away) Richard Thomas (John-Boy) breaks character as he looks into Judy's (Maryellen) eyes, by swallowing hard. Like a guy would do, when he's close to an attractive girl. Then later covers his groin with the cast, when John and the kids check up on him. The two young actors playing Jon-boy and Maryellen crushed on each other behind the scenes.

The Reunion - S1-E14

Audio problem: When John grabs Olivia from the kitchen sink to rejoin the family (over the washing machine snip) the children's laughter sounds more like a canned echo, or studio audience response.

An Easter Story - S1-E25

Factual error: When John-Boy and Jason walk into the theater, there's a poster for the movie Breakthrough, released in 1950, which is about the Battle of Normandy that didn't even happen until Summer 1942. This episode was set in early 1934. (00:50:55)

The Townie - S1-E24

Deliberate mistake: When Ted sees Ep's roadblock he turns the LaSalle Coupe around to avoid the sheriff, and the next wideshot of Ted and Sarah driving the LaSalle down the road is a flipped shot, note everything is backwards. (00:36:45)

Super Grover

Olivia: Now I've got two sons working nights in a saloon.

The Unthinkable - S8-E15

Trivia: While John is reading the newspaper funnies to John Curtis, we hear Erin and Mary Ellen come home, so John puts the folded newspaper down on the couch. And as the newspaper lies on the couch, we can see the large white adhesive label with typewritten sentences adhered to the center of the funnies page. Presumably, these are the actor's lines as he was reading quite animatedly to the toddler (sweet moment). (00:06:25)
