NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service

Silver War - S3-E4

Continuity mistake: When inside the Smithsonian, Tony is fooling around with a bear. The baseball hats on all 3 agents have black trim on the brim, then white trim, then black trim. Zeva says her hat has a 9mm hole, and pokes a finger through a hat with a black trim. Gibbs says it is for ventilation. Then she drives home, the hats have white trim, and hers has no hole.

The Voyeur's Web - S3-E6

Visible crew/equipment: After Ziva discovers the hair dye in the hotel room it cuts to McGee with Abby, and as they walk away from the desk, the reflections of crew members, including the dolly grip pulling the camera dolly, are visible on the glass door. (00:39:40)

Honor Code - S3-E7

Other mistake: At the end of the episode Gibbs has a flashback where his daughter is helping with a boat. She is in an NCIS shirt, but Gibbs had no association with NCIS while she was alive.

Under Covers - S3-E8

Continuity mistake: When the assassin is getting ready to take Ziva to her room, he has a jacket covering his silenced pistol. However the jacket is constantly moving in relation to the end of the silencer. (00:35:00)

Under Covers - S3-E8

Continuity mistake: In S1 E15 "Enigma", about 30 minutes in, Gibbs takes out his flask and the engraving is "For Good Luck, Your Loving" with the bullet on it. At the end of this episode it's engraved with "Jethro, For Good Luck Love Shannon and Kelly".

Frame Up - S3-E9

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Chip first brings the evidence to Abby (after getting it from Mr. Palmer), in one shot, her spiderweb tattoo is on the right side of her neck, and Chip is standing to her right. In the next shot, her tattoo is on the left side of her neck, as it normally is, and Chip is standing to her left. (00:08:20)

Frame Up - S3-E9

Visible crew/equipment: When Gibbs brings the pizza to Tony at the jail, in the wide shot just as Tony walks over to Gibbs, a crew member wearing white shorts is visible behind Gibbs, on the right side of the screen (where another camera is located). (00:22:55)

Super Grover

Frame Up - S3-E9

Visible crew/equipment: While Gibbs flips the pages of the court records from Stewart's case, when he sees the photos he rushes off to the lab, and in the wide shot two green T-marks are visible on the floor, in front of his desk. (00:42:50)

Super Grover

Frame Up - S3-E9

Continuity mistake: On their way to their crime scene, Ducky and Ziva accidentally fall into a river. Just a few moments later, when Ducky is observing the severed leg, his clothes are relatively, if not completely, dry.

Agent Afloat - S6-E2

Trivia: Season 6, "Agent Afloat": Maybe real aircraft carriers posing as fictional ones shouldn't let viewers see their registration numbers. When this episode aired, producers heard from several "carrier purists" complaining that CVN74 is the U.S.S. John C. Stennis, not the (non-existent) Seahawk.

Show generally

Question: I finally saw the 2-part episode from the show JAG. Does anyone know what happened to Viv Blackadder? I don't recall hearing anyone ever mention the name on NCIS.

Answer: I hadn't seen the backdoor pilots yet but while it wasn't explicitly stated, at least onscreen, I heard somewhere Vivian got either fired from NCIS due to jeopardizing a case, got resigned from the agency, or transferred to the FBI.

Raykvega423

Answer: I dont believe it is ever mentioned, but like most pilot episodes the characters are often changed, replaced or even removed in this case.
