NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service

Judgment Day: Part 1 - S5-E18

Factual error: There is a big deal made about Gibbs giving Shepard one of his magazines in the study with La Granoille. It is implied that that magazine was used in the gun to kill La Granoille on his yacht. The magazine he gave her was for his department issued Sig Sauer P228, however, he was killed with a Glock 19. The magazines are not compatible.

Agent Afloat - S6-E2

Continuity mistake: During the investigation of the dead wife's crime scene, the arms of the corpse change position from shot to shot throughout the scene, including a moment where the corpse's arms are crossed, then in the next shot Ducky is shown crossing her arms. Ducky is also shown crossing the same arm twice, and the guitar control also changes direction and position with respect to the body. (00:03:20 - 00:05:30)

Agent Afloat - S6-E2

Continuity mistake: After Vance tells Gibbs to pack a bag because he'll be joining Tony in Cartagena, when it cuts to McGee he places his brown paper bag on the desk with the folded flap facing away from his keyboard, but next shot the bag faces the opposite way. (00:18:30)

Agent Afloat - S6-E2

Character mistake: McGee seeks Director Vance's permission to hack into the Sea Hawk's computer system. He says that in the past four months, he hasn't worked any crime scenes, etc. This is incorrect, as near the start of the episode, he and Ziva go to an officer's home to advise his wife that he is missing. They discover her murdered and then the team, including McGee, are working the crime scene.

Capitol Offense - S6-E3

Continuity mistake: After Senator Kiley asks Gibbs to keep his name out of it until after the vote, it cuts to Ziva holding Carrie McLellan's Academy graduation photo (gold frame looks like an 8x10). In the closeup Ziva places the framed photo back on the shelf, but that photo vanishes from the shelf in following shots. When Gibbs walks in, it seems that photo is on the table beside the couch. See No Evil - S2-E1

[Gibbs is drinking a cup of coffee.]
Kate Todd: Gibbs, it's like one hundred degrees in here. How can you drink that stuff?
Leroy Gibbs: It keeps me cool.

Agent Afloat - S6-E2

Trivia: Season 6, "Agent Afloat": Maybe real aircraft carriers posing as fictional ones shouldn't let viewers see their registration numbers. When this episode aired, producers heard from several "carrier purists" complaining that CVN74 is the U.S.S. John C. Stennis, not the (non-existent) Seahawk.
