NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service

Once a Hero - S4-E8

Other mistake: Ducky states that the Bronze Star was for Valor. However, the bronze V that signifies the star was for Valor is not present. There is no way Ducky could know it was for Valor. (00:05:20)

Once a Hero - S4-E8

Revealing mistake: When Ducky and Gibbs are in the morgue examining the body of the girl found in the hotel, the camera cuts for a few seconds to the girl lying on the slab. During that shot, you can see her neck moving to her pulse (just after Ducky says, "There's some bruising on the sternum"). (00:19:10)

Once a Hero - S4-E8

Continuity mistake: When DiNozzo is resting at his desk, he has he feet crossed with his left foot on top of his right foot. When the shot changes his right foot is now on top. His hands have also gone from clenched to unclenched in the same shots. (00:20:25)

Other mistake: When Abby is talking to the microscope guy during the line "you understand without having to go find a dictionary" there is a half second flash of another shot with DiNozzo walking off camera in a street setting. Maybe just a encoding error on Netflix but it persisted after reloading. (00:23:45)

Twisted Sister - S4-E9

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Tim and sister Sarah are working on the past evening's timeline, Sarah's clothes lying on the counter change position between the wide shots and the close-ups. Also the plastic her shoes are sitting on in the wide shots disappears in the close-up when she removes them and when she picks up the baggie of money. The screen shot of the locations in the time line also change locations. The 9:30 and 10:00 individual locations show up in the Georgetown University area but when they zoom out to show all three locations, the two time location now show the George Washington University, Foggy Bottom area of D. C., and it shows Tim's residence as being in Arlington National Cemetery. (00:06:35 - 00:07:50)

Driven - S4-E11

Continuity mistake: When the mannequin is hit it's on the double yellow lines with another mannequin stood on the lines behind the first one. When the 4x4 drives off, the second mannequin has moved on its own from the double yellow line to the side with the other 2 upright male mannequins. (00:00:45)

Driven - S4-E11

Continuity mistake: At the start, Otto hits the mannequin straight forward. Camera changes and now the mannequin is to the side of the 4x4. After the mannequin is hit, the woman looks out of her side window to look at it. However when we see the 4x4 drive off the mannequin is now on the opposite side. (00:00:50)

Agent Afloat - S6-E2

Trivia: Season 6, "Agent Afloat": Maybe real aircraft carriers posing as fictional ones shouldn't let viewers see their registration numbers. When this episode aired, producers heard from several "carrier purists" complaining that CVN74 is the U.S.S. John C. Stennis, not the (non-existent) Seahawk.

Show generally

Question: I finally saw the 2-part episode from the show JAG. Does anyone know what happened to Viv Blackadder? I don't recall hearing anyone ever mention the name on NCIS.

Answer: I hadn't seen the backdoor pilots yet but while it wasn't explicitly stated, at least onscreen, I heard somewhere Vivian got either fired from NCIS due to jeopardizing a case, got resigned from the agency, or transferred to the FBI.

Raykvega423

Answer: I dont believe it is ever mentioned, but like most pilot episodes the characters are often changed, replaced or even removed in this case.
