Adventures in Paradise (1) - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: Frasier goes into his booth and puts down the magazine featuring Madeline with the page open. Bulldog comes in and looks at the page, and says how attractive she is. But it is definitely not the same page that Frasier had been looking at a couple of shots before.

Flour Child - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: When Frasier and Daphne are copying the names into the new get well card, we see Daphne using a pen with an orange lid. She puts the lid on the pen and sets it down. In the very next shot she is writing with the same pen.

Adventures in Paradise (1) - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: When Frasier comes into the living room, Marty's cigar box is open. The shot then shows Frasier talking to Eddie about his socks, and the cigar box is suddenly closed. At the end of the scene, the cigar box is open again.

Duke's, We Hardly Knew You - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the show, when Niles, Frasier, and Martin are at Duke's, Niles says, "I'm not here just for you, Dad" and he puts his hand on Marty's shoulder. The next shot shows him standing about two feet away, with his hands by his side. (00:21:20)

Flour Child - S2-E4

Someone to Watch Over Me - S2-E19

Daphne's Room - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: Frasier gets caught in Daphne's Room for the second time and crouches down beside her bed with the quilt over his head. He then sneaks into the bathroom - the quilt is left hanging over the edge of the bed. Shortly afterwards he runs out of the bathroom and the quilt is now folded over, completely on top of the bed, even though no one went near it. (00:13:30)

Flour Child - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: Near the beginning of the show, Roz takes a large get well card into Frasier's booth - she has some papers as well, which are on top of the card. She lowers the card and the next shot shows the papers are under the card, with no time for changes in position.

Show generally

Question: Counting his role on Cheers, Kesley Grammar has played Fraiser for twenty years. Is this the record for the longest portrayal of a character by a TV actor?

Answer: It equals the record of James Arness of "Gunsmoke" for the actor who's played the same part on TV NOT in a soap opera. If you include soaps there are two main contenders - William Roache, who's been playing Ken Barlow in "Coronation Street" in the UK since 1960. Don Hastings has been playing Robert Hughes in US soap "As the World Turns" since 1960 as well.
