Other mistake: When Rimmer is doing Lister's memo, there there are only about a few stars visible out the window, which is far too few given the amount of stars shown in exterior space shots of the ship. Additionally, a star suddenly appears in the window. (00:23:15)
Suggested correction: About a few? Are you sure there aren't exactly a few? Ironic that you've previously added an entry for something being a "meaningless addition."
Other mistake: An option for the new computer is breast size. A meaningless addition, since the computer is just a head. (00:07:35)
Suggested correction: Something potentially being a "meaningless addition" doesn't make it a mistake.
Suggested correction: When setting up the computer, there is an option for frame size. Kryten chooses close up, and when Pree appears on-screen Rimmer reacts to the fact that her breasts aren't visible whilst Kryten says that he likes that frame size. Presumably, there were other frame sizes available that would reveal more of Pree's body, giving meaning to the option.
Other mistake: When the group are discussing if they can override the Auto Destruct, the computer voice says 8 minutes 20 seconds until detonation. About 20 seconds after saying this, the computer voice then says 8 minutes 10 seconds until detonation. (00:02:35)
Suggested correction: This isn't a mistake; the system is malfunctioning. Getting the time wrong is very inappropriate.
Other mistake: Throughout the show, reference is made to Rimmer's light-bee, a solid unit that buzzes around projecting his holographic image. Yet he constantly walks through things without any difficulty. Not physically possible if there is something solid in his form.
Suggested correction: He doesn't walk through things constantly. I mean, if you eat roast beef 11 times in your life, one would hardly say that person constantly eats roast beef. No, it would be a rare, nay, freak occurrence.
Other mistake: It is established in the backwards version of Earth, that all writing is reversed and is spelled backwards. However, there are some inconsistencies, as in some instances the writing has been mirrored to appear reversed, whilst in some instances the writing has just been spelled out backwards. For example, car number plates and signs on display in the background have been mirrored to appear reversed, but the newspaper that Kryten reads, the Nodnol sign and the Sensational Reverse Brothers poster appear normally typed out, and not as the mirror image that other aspects of this world have.
Suggested correction: It wasn't established that 'all' writing was in reverse, unless you can provide a time stamp when it is stated that every bit of writing on the planet is reversed.
Other mistake: Unfortunately the whole basis of the show is one big factual error. Throughout the series we see that Red Dwarf sustains damage from collisions, explosions, and so on. Most important of all, the rocket engine nozzle - surely made from the strongest materials available - has been punctured by some kind of impact. The systems require constant maintenance by humans (painting, repairs, etc), so skutters are not enough by themselves. So, we know that Red Dwarf is not made of some sort of fictional, indestructible materials, it is made of the kind of metals, plastics and other construction materials we build space shuttles and the like out of nowadays. So, after three thousand - never mind three million! - years the whole ship would be a clump of useless, corroded junk. The rubber and plastics in seals, electronic components and furniture would have crumbled to powder. The electronics themselves would have failed after a few hundred years at most. Metals in contact with liquids in pipes or reservoirs would have oxidized, and even the oxygen in the air would have been corrosive after that amount of time. Red Dwarf is not immune from the effects of long term decay and deterioration - if it were when Lister was released from stasis he would have found rooms full of relatively intact dead bodies instead of piles of crumbled dust. After three million years in space Red Dwarf would have been a pile of scrap, fatal to anyone going near it; subject to slow, subtle but constant radioactivity in space, after three million years it would be hotter than the inside of a working reactor.
Suggested correction: Fortunately, it's not a documentary. The writers are allowed to take liberties for comic effect, and the audience suspends belief for the sake of entertainment.
Other mistake: Rimmer's long-service medals are absent from his ceremonial uniform during the trial. 17.15. (00:17:15)
Suggested correction: This can't be classed as a mistake. It's not known that it's a requirement for them to be worn during the trial. Or maybe Rimmer couldn't find them.
Other mistake: The milkshake and toffee crisp come out of a different vending machine to where they were ordered. (00:01:50 - 00:06:55)
Suggested correction: But they are dispensed at the most convenient location for the person who ordered it. Great customer service, which can't be classed as a mistake.
Other mistake: The tax letter and Rimmer's mother's letter are both already opened before Lister takes the letters out. As there is no one else aboard Red Dwarf, the letters would not have been checked by anyone so they should still be sealed. Also, not all of the letters are already open, just the two that Rimmer receives.
Other mistake: When Rimmer extracts his own light bee, it disappears with him. (00:25:10)
Suggested correction: Who's to say that isn't what's meant to happen?
Other mistake: At the start of Rimmer's exam, the invigilator orders the students to "turn over their papers and start". Rimmer reads one side of the paper, then turns it over to read another question. The back of the paper should have been blank as otherwise there would be no point asking the students to keep the papers face down before reading the questions. (00:15:30)
Suggested correction: He turns the paper over, but it's not possible to state why. It's more likely it was to check if he'd missed anything. Also, the 'back' of the paper can be seen to have writing on it, which you'd expect an exam paper to have (name of the exam, instructions, etc.).
Other mistake: In the picture of the cat wars between the Red Hats and the Blue Hats, the hats are orange instead of blue. (00:19:00)
Suggested correction: Cats are colour blind.

Other mistake: At the start of the episode, there is a spoof Star Wars-type caption, which spools up the screen very quickly. Too quickly to be read, in fact... which may explain why few people have noticed that the last line of the caption, "And now the Saga Continuums...", is written twice. (00:00:20)
Suggested correction: It isn't known that this is a mistake; it's probably deliberate.
Plot hole: Pete the sparrow was dead before the time wand was used on him to become a dinosaur. When the undo button was pressed, Pete should have turned back into a dead sparrow. (00:23:10)
Suggested correction: Unless the "undo" time on the wand was set to shortly before he died, it isn't explained exactly how the wand works or what the control options are, so it's possible.
Character mistake: Upon hearing that Lister, Kryten, Cat and Rimmer have travelled from Albion - England - to India the woman in the market expresses surprise that they have travelled "halfway across the known world" just to buy lemons. In 23AD travelling from England to India was all the way across the known world. The Americas, Australasia and China were completely unknown at the time.
Suggested correction: They weren't unknown to the people who lived there.
This is not a valid correction. It does not address the mistake.

Deliberate mistake: When the computer has been launched, Lister walks into the drive room and notices the computer and stands behind Kryten and Rimmer. But when the camera is focused on the computer, there is no sign of Lister what so ever. (00:10:00)
Suggested correction: What's deliberate about this? It's just a mistake.
This is not a valid correction. You should simply try to change the mistake type instead of correcting a mistake if it is not classified correctly.
Plot hole: Lister is not allowed any dangerous objects that he might try to commit suicide with, yet when he is with the canaries on their missions, he carries an assault rifle. The canaries aren't always supervised and it would be impossible for a guard to stop any of them putting a gun to their head and pulling the trigger. (00:05:05)
Suggested correction: We only hear from Rimmer that that's a rule. Rimmer is usually wrong about most things.
Plot hole: Lister and Kryten seem to know about Cassandra's prediction that Rimmer would sleep with Kochanski despite the fact that they were not there when Cassandra said it. (00:25:15)
Suggested correction: Rimmer told them, just not on screen.
Plot hole: The man the crew find stampeded to death had been lying in the road for a year, yet he had not began to decompose. (00:17:50)
Suggested correction: There's nothing stating that the body had been lying in the road for a year. Rimmer says it looks like the man was trampled to death in some kind of stampede, but it isn't confirmed if that's how he died (Rimmer is often wrong about many things), or when it might have happened.
Trivia: On the DVD, you can watch this episode backwards. This way, not only can you find out roughly how they made this episode and find out what 'reversed' people are saying, you can hear someone shout 'ACTION' right before the brawl scene.
Suggested correction: This episode is available backwards on YouTube, too.
