Continuity mistake: The red towel Picard holds goes from draped over the front of the arm rest, to over his hand between angles.

Other mistake: As the Enterprise starts to turn to starboard (right) to escape the energy field Q set up, as the field is moving to port (left, indicating the ship is turning right) the starfield is also moving right, when it should be moving left.

Other mistake: When Capt. Picard gets beamed from The Stargazer back to The Enterprise at the end of the episode, he doesn't lower shields. Also, a Ferengi (DaiMan Bok) beams off the Stargazer onto his Ferengi ship earlier without lowering shields on the Stargazer. (00:35:45 - 00:44:20)

Revealing mistake: As Data ducks to avoid the blast from the probe, the scene shifts to a wide shot. After Data tosses Yar to safety, he jumps after her. As he does, you can tell it's a stunt man with a bad wig.

Continuity mistake: After Geordi separates the ship, the saucer was well away from the star drive section, and they're at impulse power. When the star drive section goes to turn around, it is at warp speed, and it is a re-use of the high warp separation sequence from Episode One "Encounter at Farpoint."
Continuity mistake: As Lore opens a channel, there's a blinking red light over the key he uses that disappears after the angle change.
Encounter at Farpoint (2) - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: The "loose rock" Wesley falls from didn't move at all the way it did with Riker.
Continuity mistake: As Data, Geordi, and Will pause to consider a route around Engineering section, the smoky mist is chest high. After the angle change it's thinner and shin height.
Continuity mistake: On the freighter, when Geordi looks at Data, the image on the Bridge view screen has Data's hair in an unkempt, or unusual style. When the scene shifts back to the freighter, Data's hair is straight back.
Revealing mistake: When Picard looks out the window of the Dixon Hill office he sees the cars passing by each other, the traffic light is right in front of the window as if the entire building is not only in the middle of the street but only one story high.
Visible crew/equipment: When Worf addresses Klingon captain K'Nera, a microphone dips into the shot over Worf's head. (00:33:10)

Other mistake: When Riker is knocked into the glass table, he should have been bleeding from the impact, but when the close up shows him unconscious, he is not.

Velocity = v, s means distance (abbreviation not known to me), t = time v = s/t v * t = s t = s/v v = 299,792,458 m/s s = 3,800,000,000,000 m 3,800,000,000,000 m / 299,792,458 m/s = 12,675.435617529778 s = 3.5 hours The impression in the scene could be convincing of 1-5 minutes prior to seeing the supernova, and not 3.5 hours. I would argue in order to give them the benefit of the doubt they would have to be either less specific about the distance travelled or more respectful of c. The movement of the spaceship aka. Matter in this case being faster than c is implied to be part of the fictional part of sci-fi and not a logical oversight on my end. c is constant.
