Encounter at Farpoint (1) - S1-E1
Other mistake: When Q the Judge enters on his throne, at one point, the hydraulic arm the throne is on is visible, despite being black to blend in. Conversely, in "All Good Things...", the final episode, the arm is missing having been matted out by CGI techniques. (00:21:45)
Other mistake: At the beginning of the episode, when Picard and Riker leave the bridge to head to the teleport deck to receive the admiral and his wife, as the lift door opens Patrick Stewart makes a face at the film crew off-screen as he walks off the bridge. (00:02:05)
Other mistake: After greeting Crusher, Data explains where Picard is. Problem is he uses the contraction "he's" instead of "he is." Data is supposed to be incapable of this.
Other mistake: In the transporter room, Data asks the computer what file log is shown. The computer reply is "Transport Log 759", Data confirms "That is the correct log", but the screen reads "Transport Log 721".
Other mistake: In this episode, when Riker makes his log entry, he says the stardate is "4124.5, " the 4-digit style of stardates from The Original Series, rather than the 5 digit style used in The Next Generation.
Other mistake: Worf says the Borg have locked on a tractor beam, but in the next exterior shot there is no tractor beam visible between the two ships. Later there is.
Suggested correction: Stating that it is locked on is not the same as stating it is engaged. For example, there are numerous occasions where they detect that phasers have been locked but have not yet been engaged/fired.
In regards to a tractor beam, locked on has always meant engaged and holding the target. Phasers are different as they need to be targeted. The tractor beam just has to hit the ship. I think this is a valid error.
Other mistake: As Picard and Robert walk alongside the large bush just before their scuffle, two outgrowth branches on the bush get snagged onto the camera and can be seen snapping back into place.
Other mistake: As Beverly points to a planet on the monitor, the read out on the planet is upside down.
All Good Things... (1) - S7-E25
Other mistake: When Picard first meets Data in the past, Data's rank insignia is wrong. He's always held the rank of Lieutenant Commander, signified by two gold pips, and one with black in the center. However, Data has one gold, one with black, signifying Lieutenant.
Encounter at Farpoint (1) - S1-E1
Other mistake: As the Enterprise is fleeing from Q, it peaks around Warp 9.6 which according to the fact books, translates to around 1000c in sidereal space. Also according to the fact books, the saucer section is not capable of sustained Warp flight on its own. Also, at the beginning of The Chase scene, the Enterprise is on course to Farpoint, Q's fence is perpendicular to it. The Enterprise does at least a 90°+ turn beginning her escape maneuver prior to separation, so it is definitely not flying past Farpoint during The Chase. Still the saucer section somehow makes it to Farpoint a mere 51 minutes after the engine section. There's no evidence at all in the dialog that it was Q's doing.
Other mistake: As the cloaked Warbird looks at the Enterprise, the registry number on the under side of the saucer is reversed.
Other mistake: After the report that Picard is close to death, the scene shifts to a close up of La Forge's hand turning on controls. If you look closely, you can see that both panels are re-purposed CANX-23429 remote control units. The markings are for volume, radio, transmitter, receiver, phone jacks and a microphone jack.
Other mistake: When Data is interpreting between Captain Picard and Riva, he uses signs for words Captain Picard has not yet spoken, and voices concepts before Riva has signed them. He also doesn't interpret everything the Captain and counselor Troi say.
Other mistake: The ship warp core was damaged by an explosion earlier and was offline in the first 32 minutes of the episode. But the ship's CGI indicates that it was online all through the episode.
Other mistake: When Deanna's mother arrives on the Enterprise, the sound of the transporter activating is heard. But the transporter technician is seen behind Picard and Deanna, and he remains standing by the wall with his arms behind his back. (00:09:00)
Other mistake: During his final discussion with Tomalok, Picard tells him that the Enterprise will escort the Romulan ship back to The Neutral Zone. However, as the episode ends, the two ships are heading off in opposite directions. Both the Enterprise and Romulan warbirds have demonstrated in the past that they can spin on their axis from a standstill. There is no reason for either ship to head away from the other to turn around.
Other mistake: As the ship approaches the energy cloud the second time, the registry number on the underside of the saucer is backwards.
Gambit (2) - S7-E5
Other mistake: When the raiders' vessel fires on the Enterprise, only the starboard nacelle is hit. Right after the impact, Worf reports the port nacelle hit, then the starboard.
Suggested correction: This is only a mistake if the series is taken as a whole. At this point in the series, that particular trait wasn't part of the character. Data uses contractions multiple times in the first season, as the trait was added later.
While it was explicitly expressed in season 2 that Data can not use contractions, the fact that they did established this character trait means it could be a valid mistake since the trait is meant to show Data could never use contractions since his creation, not that he suddenly developed it some 30-odd years later. Although it would probably be best to submit it as a mistake in season 2 when it's mentioned that it contradicts what was established or at least make one character mistake for "all of season 1" than list every individual time it happened.
