Continuity mistake: When the evil general is addressing his soldiers near the beginning, pay attention to his second-in-command. (The woman.) Repeatedly throughout the scene, the distance between her and the general seems to change instantly between edits. Sometimes she's practically right next to him, sometimes she's about 5 feet away, etc. She also instantly turns from facing forward at the soldiers to facing sideways at the general between edits at one point near the end of the scene.

Continuity mistake: During the museum scene, when the evil general says "Once this touches him, the emperor will rise!" Watch Rick. In the first shot, he is turning his whole body to look at the general, but when it cuts to the wide shot, suddenly his body is facing away and only his head is turned.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: During the final battle, when Rick delivers the line "I really hate mummies!" and Evie responds with "Seems the feeling's mutual!" pay attention. In the first shot, Evie is about five feet behind Rick and is facing away from him, but when it cuts, she's suddenly standing right next to him (literally shoulder-to-shoulder), and is facing the same direction as he is.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: This mistake is somewhat abstract and subtle, so it can be hard to catch. When the Yeti arrive, at a few random points throughout the scene, the "density" of the falling snow changes instantly between cuts. Ex. When Evie helps Lin execute a spin-kick, in one shot there's a ton of snow in the air, but after a quick cut, there's suddenly significantly less snow in the air. It's clear that the fake snow wasn't necessarily being dropped at a 100% consistent rate from take to take during filming.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: When Mad Dog is introduced, he delivers the line "Now Ricochet, he had his hands all over me girl!" In the first shot, he lifts both hands and points at Rick with both, but when it cuts, he's only pointing at him with his left hand, and then lifts his right hand up a second time.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: When Yuan fights the Emperor, shortly after the Emperor realises she's mortal, she leaps towards him and twirls through the air. If you look close, her sword swaps hands between cuts when it connects with the Emperor's sword. First it's in her right hand, then her left hand, then it's back in her right hand. It looks like the left-hand shot was an alternate take of the shot right after, and they flipped it horizontally to create a "different camera angle" in editing, hence the hand-swap.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: When Wilson meets Rick and Evie at the museum, pay attention when Rick delivers the line about giving them a heads up next time Wilson takes Alex on one of "his fieldtrips." In the first shot, Wilson's arms at down at his side. In the next shot, suddenly they are up and he's patting his chest while saying "Yes, of course." The shots are back-to-back, so there's no time for him to have lifted his arms between edits.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: When Mad Dog is flying the O'Connell's and Lin in the plane, Mad Dog remarks that he can't guarantee they'll live, and it cuts to a close-up of Rick sarcastically saying "Great!" Watch Alex... he goes from facing his left to facing his right between edits.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: When Lin is explaining what needs to happen at the club, pay attention when she says the lines "Once the diamond is placed at the top, it will point the way to Shangri-La. Yang still has the diamond..." There are a series of cuts throughout these lines, and Lin goes from facing forward towards Alex to facing sideways towards Rick between two of the edits.

Puppet Master (1989)

Continuity mistake: When Blade gets on the elevator in the beginning, pay attention to the legs of the woman in the elevator. When she gets on, she is wearing black stockings. When she gets off, she is wearing cream-colored stockings. The rest of her clothes that are visible are the same (same shoes, skirt, etc.), as is the wardrobe of the man who gets on and off with her, so it's meant to be the same woman. (There's also no indication that the elevator made any stops on the way up).

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: SPOILERS: During the final scene, when Samuel L. Jackson is "puppeted" to lift his arm up to make it look like he's pointing a gun at the SWAT team, the number of laser-sights visible on his chest changes between cuts. In the wide-shot, there's only three, but when it punches into a close-up, suddenly there are five.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: In the first movie, Mathayus has an older brother named Jesup who is killed by the villain. However, in this prequel, Mathayus has a younger brother named Noah who is killed by the villain, and there is no mention of Jesup whatsoever. Given that Mathayus and Jesup were supposed to both be warriors with the same tribe, it makes absolutely no sense that he isn't at least mentioned in the film, and the movie seems to pretend he never even existed.

The Punisher (2004)

Continuity mistake: When Howard is killed, he's set on fire by all the explosions. Yet just a few seconds later in a wideshot, he's no longer on fire.

Child's Play (2019)

Continuity mistake: When Chucky is controlling the car with the police officer's mother inside of it, pay attention when she says the line "You hobbit, mother****er!" In that shot, she doesn't have her seatbelt on. However, both before and after this shot, she has her seatbelt on. (It doesn't get taken off until a few shots later).

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: When Sonya grabs Ermac with her legs in the final battle, pay close attention. In one shot, you can see for a brief instant that Ermac's mask has completely fallen down and his entire face is exposed, but two quick cuts later, his mask is suddenly back on. (It goes by quick so you have to pay attention, but it's very noticeable once you see it the first time).

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: During the Jax vs Cyrax fight, at one point Jax accidentally punches his arm into the wall and gets stuck. In the first shot, you can see dust or smoke shooting out of the hole, but in the very next shot, it all vanishes.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: During the chase scene with Robotnik's robotic vehicle, at one point an EMP device is launched which misses Tom and Sonic's pickup truck and instead latches onto a minivan in front of it. Except just a few shots prior, there was a wideshot of the road, and you can see that Tom's pickup truck and the robotic vehicle were the only cars on the road. The minivan just sort-of... appears.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, we see a portion of the climax where Robotnik is chasing Sonic. At one point in the very first shot, he runs up the side of a building, onto the roof, then back down. However, when we see the complete chase at the end of the film, he never runs up that building.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: After the train explodes at the end, you see a closeup of Zorro and Elena behind a small stone wall. Zorro is covering Elena, and his head is to her left and he has his hand against the wall. However, when the camera cuts to a wideshot, suddenly his head is to her right and his hand is no longer on the wall.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: Throughout the "Everybody Needs Somebody" song number, pay attention to the band member in the background smoking a pipe. More specifically, watch the smoke coming out of his pipe. Sometimes it's consistent from shot to shot, but at other times, it changes completely. (Ex. When Jake sings "When my soul's on fire," all of the smoke disappears between cuts).
