Death Hits the Jackpot - S11-E1

Trivia: The car Freddy is looking at is a Dino 308 GTS (made by Ferrari, but not officially a Ferrari), which was manufactured from 1977 to 1980. (The photo and the car in the dealership has the rear side window slats from the later 308GTSi.) Freddy is going to pay $175,000 for the car. That car, when new, cost slightly more than $30,000, and the most expensive 308 Dino ever sold went for $159,500. (The Magnum P.I. Dino was at auction, expecting to fetch $150,000 to $250,000).

Death Hits the Jackpot - S11-E1

Continuity mistake: After Lamarr takes off Freddy's undershirt we see the level of the water in the bathtub. Then he drags Freddy over to the tub and breaks his watch. At that time the water level is lower than it was before, even though the water was still running.

Season 10 generally

Trivia: In episode 10-3 the murderer smokes "Victory" brand cigarettes. In episode 10-2 the victim smokes "Victory." I have a suspicion that "Victory" cigarettes would be the only brand seen in any episode.

Factual error: Hunt gets out of a limo to visit Lauda at an airport. It takes place in 1977, but the limo is a Lincoln that was not produced until 1980. (01:47:30)

Columbo and the Murder of a Rock Star - S10-E3

Factual error: Champagne corks have a metal cap between the cork and the wire cage. (They can be seen when both Creighton and Columbo open bottles.) When Creighton injects the chloral hydrate into the champagne, he does not have the difficulty he should have getting through the metal. The needle does not come out damaged as it should, and it did not go far enough into the cork to put the liquid into the champagne-it would get lost in the cork itself.

Other mistake: After Herod shoots Ellen Doc Wallace examines her and says she is dead. Obviously he is in league with Ellen and Cort, using the red ink to make her look dead. But earlier he says that Spotted Horse is dead, having "examined" him from several feet away. He is wrong, because Spotted Horse gets up and fires several shots at Cort. He would have no reason to fake that death, and is apparently a qualified doctor.

Young Sheldon (2017)

Freshman Orientation and the Inventor of the Zipper - S4-E6

Plot hole: Memaw gets a call from Dr. Sturgis saying that he has moved to Waxahatchie and would she please call him back. He does not say the new phone number, and this was well before cell phones were in widespread use by the general public, so it could only be a land line. Memaw calls him back, although she could not know the number.

Suggested correction: Just watched the clip. Sturgis calls Mary, leaves a message. She calls him back; I'd guess his local number. He says "I've taken a job there", which is what you say when you're not at the place yet (otherwise you'd say here). Says he won't be there when Sheldon starts college.

Suggested correction: Memaw could have caller ID, or she could have called information.

Caller ID was first available in December 1988, and it's unlikely that Memaw would have it that early. The story takes place before that time. It is possible that she called information, but when did she do it?

Factual error: When Mollie is scaring Ken in the station wagon, they pass a red Chrysler 300 twice (tip of the hat to the chase scene in Bullitt). The Chrysler is a 1965 model, and the scene takes place in 1964.
