Troy (2004)

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the film, when the Trojans meet the Greeks, the subtitles says that it's the port of Sparta. Sparta is at least at 25 km from the sea.

Dr Wilson

Correction: The ancient story, which LONG predates this movie of course, refers specifically to "the port of Sparta," which is actually in Gythium. If you have a problem with calling it the port of Sparta, you have to go back to the legend because that's where it originated.

Corrected entry: Somebody, I think the US president, says that a part of Florida has been flooded but when we get a view from space at the end of the film, Florida is intact.

Dr Wilson

Correction: The only time that Florida is mentioned is when Jack is asked where people should evacuate to. He replies saying "parts of Florida that have not flooded"

Correction: Most likely there was some unsubstantiated information where there may have been some flooding in Florida but the waters receded quickly and there wasn't the devastation that occurred further north.

Tobin OReilly

Correction: That film took place a few years prior to this one; who's to say that Jabba perhaps didn't age/get injured/whatever in the time span between films? If nothing else this belongs in episode IV.

The Fifth Element (1997)

Corrected entry: When Leeloo escapes from the Nucleolab, her hands are really dirty, but when she jump from the building, her feet are only a little bit dirty.

Dr Wilson

Correction: Her feet have a lot of dirt on them, but it's only on the surfaces of her feet that touch the ground: the ball of the big toe, the edge along the outside, and the heel.

Phoenix

Corrected entry: When the family is moving, the trucks seen from the air are different to those seen at the new house. (00:20:35 - 00:21:35)

Dr Wilson

Correction: The style of the Bekins trucks are the exact same. There is also an additional Crate and Barrel Truck, but it is a separate delivery truck with their new furniture, and not a moving truck that came from the house.

Jack's Revenge

Corrected entry: When Neo is fighting with Seraph, there's a shot of him doing a backflip, but he is still on the same table the shot later.

Dr Wilson

Correction: He doesn't jump. He bends backward to avoid being hit by Seraph.

Les Visiteurs (1993)

Corrected entry: When Godefroy kisses Frédégonde, the reflection of the filming lights are visible on his helmet.

Dr Wilson

Correction: His helmet is too matte to tell.

Dr Wilson

Corrected entry: When the woman brings Godefroy and Jacquouille in her house to scare her son, the reflection of a technician is visible on the door.

Dr Wilson

Correction: It's the reflection of Godefroy.

Dr Wilson

Corrected entry: In Cloud City, Boba Fett shoots twice at Luke but when Luke starts to walk again, there's only one impact on the wall.

Dr Wilson

Correction: Both the laser blasts hit in the same place.

STP

Corrected entry: When they escape from the mall there are so many zombies that they have difficulty moving forward but when the bomb explodes, there are far fewer zombies.

Dr Wilson

Correction: When the gas canister explodes you can see all the zombies fall over. The explosion takes place right in front of the bus and that is also where the camera looks right after the explosion. There are only a few zombies there because they have all been blown out of the way.

Star Wars (1977)

Correction: This is a matter of perspective since it is very bright in the hanger, it is quite logical that one could not see the stars from back inside the hanger.

Old School (2003)

Corrected entry: When they are doing the wrestling game in the basement, there's more lubricant in the pool that could be contained in the bag.

Dr Wilson

Correction: It is very possible that there were many other bags of lubricant not shown on screen.

Nick N.

Correction: This movie was released in 1999, and it seems ludicrous that anyone would approach a *sitting* US President about a major film role. I think the submitter was referring to this rumour about Bond 21 (the sequel to Die Another Day): http://www.showbizireland.com/news/march03/14-brosnan76.shtml.

Men in Black II (2002)

Corrected entry: After K has been deneuralyzed and he is on the street looking at the aliens disguised as humans, there is a postman. New-Yorkers are really lucky to have postal service at night time...

Dr Wilson

Correction: As J said, most postal workers are aliens. Therefore, this alien could be in his human suit which includes his postal uniform, or he could be having a nice, long walk home after work.

Goldeneye (1995)

Corrected entry: In the chemical weapons factory, Urumov tells to the soldiers not to shoot at Bond because there is gas. So why do they shoot in the begining to break the window? The bullets could have gone through and caused an explosion just as easily.

Dr Wilson

Correction: The windows are bulletproof, and they are shot to make the soldiers get in the bottling room.

Corrected entry: When Anakin and Padmé enter Watto's shop, you can hear someone shout 'CUT'. Another sound was placed over, but it is still there. (01:06:20)

Dr Wilson

Correction: As stated in a previous correction - There is indeed a short shout in the background, but it's not obviously "cut" - it could pretty much be any short cry, as could be expected in a market-place environment.]

Corrected entry: When the Millenium Falcon escapes from the giant space worm, the mouth is almost completely closed but when they are outside, the mouth is opened.

Dr Wilson

Correction: In the scene immediatly following the Falcon leaving the giant worm's mouth from the inside, the worm appears to be chasing the ship, trying to catch it. It easily could have opened its mouth to attempt to bite the ship again.

Correction: If you listen properly you can tell that the sound of the second shot is slightly covered over by the first shot hitting the first stormtrooper.

Phone Booth (2002)

Corrected entry: When the guy shot Stu's ear, the police oficers could have determined where the bullet came from by imagining a line linking the two holes in the windows of the phone booth. It wouldn't necessarily be hugely accurate, but it would identify the building it came from.

Dr Wilson

Correction: There's only one pane with a hole in it. The pimp broke the pane facing the street which is where the bullet entered.

Star Wars (1977)

Corrected entry: When C3PO and R2D2 escape from the Blockade Runner, the engines of the escape pods are facing the ship, but they can see the ship from a window too.

Dr Wilson

Correction: Might be a very sharp viewscreen as opposed to a window.
