White foam is visible in a number of places, like the crests of waves, but not only do they not move while the camera is on them, they are always in the same place in subsequent shots, revealing that this is a painted backdrop. Continuity mistake: Toward the end of the episode, Rachel is back in Ross' apartment, trying to mend the ornament she broke when she was in there earlier. Ross comes in unexpectedly and she tosses the broken pieces into the lightshade, leaving the glue on the side table. In subsequent shots, the glue goes from lying on its side, to standing up, a number of times. (00:16:00)

Continuity mistake: In the scene just after Andre has dragged Angela from the river, towards the beginning of the film, the two engage in a lengthy conversation. As the camera moves between close-ups of Angela's face, and shots of Andre, where Angela is standing in the background, her hair keeps changing from being off her face to covering her face.

Revealing mistake: When Sayid and Locke are talking to Henry Gale in the hatch, just as Jack comes in and finds them, the front part of the arrow supposedly piercing Gale's shoulder is at a different angle to the back part. This is visible in a number of shots.

This scene supposedly takes place in an Australian airport, but this is the American spelling - in Australia, the word is spelled 'authorised'.

Continuity mistake: The first shot we see of Nandi waking up shows her hair loose on the pillow, and her hand curled up on the sheet beside her; in the next shot, a close-up, her hair is mostly tucked behind her ear and her hand is closer to her face than previously. (00:25:10)

Continuity mistake: When Nandi is killed, she falls to the floor on her back, her left arm by her side and her right on the floor by her head. We see her in this position a number of times, but when Mal and Inara look at one another at the end of this scene, Nandi's left arm is now lying across her chest. Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, Jayne receives a hat from his mother in the post, and when he takes it out of the package it is covered in wood shavings or some similar packing material. He puts it on his head like that, but for the remainder of the scene, the hat alternates from being covered in shavings to clean and back again.

Continuity mistake: Right at the end of the episode, when River says 'Also - I can kill you with my brain' to Jayne in the infirmary, in the long shots she is leaning much further through the doorway than she is in the close-ups, where her face is barely past the edge. (00:39:40)

Continuity mistake: When we see the flashback of Mal and Zoë first entering Serenity's cargo bay, just after Mal has bought the ship, there is a cable on the floor behind them. For a short moment, we see the cable being dragged over the grille right behind them, then the shot changes and there is nothing there at all; the only cable is much further back and lying at a completely different angle. Continuity mistake: Kaylee has just put Simon's birthday cake down on the table when the explosion happens, but in many subsequent shots of both the table and the floor in the dining room, the cake is nowhere to be seen.

Continuity mistake: When Saffron first hits Wash, he falls with his head in the centre of the doorway (from our point of view), but a second later, when she goes to lift his legs through the door so she can shut it, his head is noticeably more to the left (again, from the viewer's point of view). Continuity mistake: In the close-up shot of the explosive in the sticky substance being applied to the outside of the cargo hold, the pink wire sticks out at the bottom, and in a loop in the middle. In the next shot, from slightly further back, the wire doesn't stick out anywhere, and the shape of the explosive ring has changed and become more oval. (00:05:30)
